[Paddington Spur]

The rumours are appearing again. I remember last year a lot of Spurs fans were pretty unanimous in our desire to have him at the club, but what are your thoughts now?

Great player and lord knows we could use his experience, but at what cost?

He'd be a great addition and would work his socks off, I could see him blowing the wage budget though and CM isn't where we need strengthening most.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Spurs jersey, though.

It isn't just the experience I was talking about earlier though which would be valuable. I also feel the buzz of having a player of his stature could only be good for the club and the younger players around him. Just his name on the teamsheet would be worth a few extra points I reckon.

Exactly why we need a player of such stature, i was a bit gutted last year that all the rumours came to nothing, but we are Tottenham, its now a running joke that we are constantly linked to the worlds best players, difference is this season we might have a better chance of capturing players like him, and once we get one big name others might follow.

His wages might be a problem though.
