Default Going to Rome...

Hey guys! In a few day I am going to the Italy tour, so I am here with a same question like Russel, but I have a questions for Rome. Do somebody know Rome and can recommend my where I should go, what I should see, where is best shopping and where I should go out on night?

On this tour I am also going to Venice, Florence, Pisa and Neaples so there will also be great, if you know, to give me some information about this cities...

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, it is near impossible to see all of Roma or recommend one spot.

All I say is this, be nice to everybody and tip well. You will get awesome service.

One word of caution, if stuff is wrapped up for you, after you buy something, check it before you leave the store....there are bad merchants that do the bait and switch on you.

Italy requires many outings.....

One more thing, if your in the market for a qaulity suit or dress shoes, this IS the time to buy it.

Italian suits and shoes are second to none as far as I'm concerned.

Ah Í saw the thread too late.

I wanted to give you the advise if you see a trattoria and you would never enter it because of it outer appearence then you should eat there because it would probably one of the best food you ever ate but I think that comes too late now. :/

Hey mates! Thanks one more time for advices It was really really great time and I need a few more days to come back to reality after such a great trip! I have been visited a lot of fantastic places in Italy for these 11 days I have been in Venice, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Napoli, Sorento, Capri, Rimini and Ravena! Greatest time was ofcorse in Rome, that is a fantastic historical city!

Big positive suprise was Italian south (Napoli, Pompei, Vesuvio, Capri and Sorento) I thought there is horible mess and a lot of robbers, but I make mistake, there is beautiful nature and also a lot of historical buildings!

And dont worry guys I ate pica and pasta in Napoli and ofcorse try an Italian ice cream in every city I have visited , the food is fantastic there!

I'm glad you had a good time.

As I stated, if you treat the Italian people nicely, they will treat you ten fold more nicer.

As for the south, in my opinion, the best food comes from the south. Case closed.

Rome is definitely a place id love to see one day, but honestly, it seems like it would be toooo old fashioned for it to be my first European trip.
