If he leaves Bremen, I hope Madrid will be his club.

After losing Miro Klose, I doubt Werder would sell Diego..

Default Bremen's "magic mouse"

13 goals and 15 assists, second place in last season's scorer list - Diego's record is nothing but impressive.

Where others need a couple of seasons to reach such yield Werder Bremen's Brazilian Diego can already boast that record after his first season in the German top flight.

Key player at first go

Instead of needing a long time to settle in he scored loads of goals and instead of struggling with the language barrier he managed to integrate into coach Thomas Schaaf´s squad without any problems whatsoever. As if that wasn´t already enough just 22-year old Diego became an absolute key player at Bremen - and was called "magic mouse" and "dribble-artist" shortly after his arrival at the Weser.

All this didn't fail to catch the attention of his colleagues: of the 268 Bundesliga professionals who took part in the "player of the season" poll of German football magazine "kicker" 50.7 percent voted the midfield general - who had joined Bremen the season before from FC Porto - best field player of last season.

Double in Portugal

In Portugal Diego won the Portuguese league and the cup with FC Porto (for which he had signed in 2004) in 2006.

Before moving to Europe Diego played for FC Santos in Brazil from 1997 to 2004.

Lately Diego also attracted attention while playing for the Brazilian national team. In the first match at the new Wembley arena on June 1st, 2007 arena the wizard on the ball headed in for the final 1-1 against hosts England deep in injury time.

Diego had been brought on after 74 minutes. "He played a couple of minutes and he used his chance", said Brazilian national coach Carlos Dunga and promised. "Diego will get to play more matches."

Diego is the greatest playmaker in the world. Dunga is stupid, Diego should have played all the Copa America matches, from start to finish.

He will never leave Werder Bremen, he is not greedy like Klo$e.

want to bet on that?
He is young, talented and is likely to be a star. Werder Bremen, as good as they are, are still not in the same league as Bayern, Man U, Real Madrid, AC Milan etc. He'll end up in one of those.

Diego is not like Klo$e, he is loved and respected at Bremen, why would he want to leave ?
He is not greedy, even if he was, we could always give him a better contract. Diego will not leave.

He is still young so if he stayed at Bremen for the rest of his career, that's about 8/9 years. That's a long time, considering (I think) he has no real ties to the club (he didn't come up through the youth system, it's not his hometown), I doubt his will stay. Unless Werder become as good as the clubs as I mentioned before, there is no chance. He will want champions league football and if bigger clubs are interested he'll want to move I guarantee.

He has no ties to the club yes, but he has become a start due to us and he likes the club, plus he is yet to come out out to the press and saying he wants to move to a bigger club. Besides, we can give him Champions League football, that is not a problem.

i am not a big fan of Bremen but i like Diego and i think he is very good in Bremen ...
seems to be a player witch caries his team on his shoulders, witch is top class but like to play in a team without Big names ...

something like Riquelme ..
