Was wondering if it were possible to add a Computer Forum? A place where people can post:

Computer problems
downloadable Software
Cracks/Serials
OS
Networking issues
CD/DVD Burning issues
etc

I know it's off topic.....but thought it would be interesting as some other non sports related sites have a computers forum? I usually go to other sites to read/review software and download as well.

Just a thought!

Yeah, I like the idea a lot. The only thing is not to make it into something where people ask too many little questions because it can become a major pain then, but I think it could work nicely.

Yea, if people start asking...ex "how much memory does it take to run Norton anitivirus program" then i agree, pain in the a*s. But if people have links to certain sites ex rapidshare etc...for software, Operating Systems etc (which we all download free cracked OS

), and other computer related issues, i think it would be good. We are all sitting in front of our PC's now...and i'm sure we all have problems with something and maybe someone at TS can help out. If Computer Forum were to be added...we would have to ensure that people DO NOT POST VIRUSES/MALWARE. If a person posts viruses/spyware...maybe a warning...then if again...get the boot!

that is the main reason why we have computers, is it not? I just downloaded a strip poker game the other day....

First we need a computer expert. I don't want anybodys computer to be ruined by a unprofessional clerk.

Good idea. I know TD has this Forum at his site, It's working well because there is a certified expert.

Ya, that's the one big problem. You can't stop someone from posting a link that could be a potential virus...but if a link is posted and someone d/l it...and Norton picks it up as a virus...only thing is to delete the post and report the person...can't think of an alternate method in controlling posts? Unless you guys know of other methods at other sites?

Hmm, I wonder if allowing links to cracks could in any way be a liability or danger to the site? I.e., is there any potential that the site could be sued or shut down for it?

Also, I personally think anyone who knowingly posts a virus or other malware should be gone, gone, gone. If it's some kind of mistake or accident, that's one thing, but knowingly attempting to screw up someone else's computer is pretty serious stuff.

But overall, it sounds like a good idea-- after all, we all use computers or we wouldn't be here posting.

I don't like the idea, its not where I want to go. We are not a "tech" forum.

Yes we have other different forums, but I'm not sure it would get much use, as per say the video game forum.

Maybe we convert the video game and transfer it to a video game/computer forum?

Personally I think the lounge is fine for this.

Now a music or movie forum...maybe.

But for now, TS has enough off topic forums. We must grow bigger to add
more.

I notice most of the peeps spend more time at the babes lounge.

A computer thread is a Good idea but like I said, we need an expert. Not bugging the chance to produce a Forum -- though it is interesting.

Cool...i just thought i'd throw it out there...hence the reasoning for the "Support and Feedback" thread.
