Diogo Luis Santo -Rumors and Transfer Thread
My Sources tell me that talks are under way between Sporting and Valencia for the following 4 players that are all Under 16 Portugal Players
1) Ruben Luis - Goalie
2) Luis Almeida - Trinco
3) Januario Jesus - Forward
4) Diogo Riberio - Striker
Valencia offering $1 million for all 4 of them and Sporting want $2 miilion and 20% of there pass going forward, They talked last weekend and will meet again on Monday

Wow, if this is true... stupid move by Milan. I don't mind us loaning Grimi, but we need to loan him to another Italian club, so he can adjust to the Italian game. Loaning him to a club in a completely different league makes no sense for Milan-- unless this is a loan with option to buy and we're trying to eventually sell him off.
If he does go to Sporting, how much play do you guys think he'll get? He looks to be a hard worker with very nice potential, but only played in about five games for Milan (two friendlies, three league, if I remember correctly). I don't know anything about your squad or how many LBs you already have.

Well Diabolico.I don't recall watching Grimi play for Milan but Sporting has been known in the last few years for building young players into stars.Hope that helps if it doesn't then I shall try again. |

So he would start second after Ronny? Interesting... to be honest I wouldn't expect him to be so high in the starting order for a major club. I fully expected him to start first for a Serie B club or second for a low-to-mid-table Serie A club.
If Sporting is good at developing young players, that's a very good thing for Grimi, though I'm still trying to figure out the logic of Milan sending him outside of Italy (unless we mean to convert the loan to an eventual sale).
