Ricardo would welcome Anfield move
Ricardo Pereira's agent has revealed the Portuguese international goalkeeper would fancy a move to Liverpool in the summer.
The Sporting Lisbon stopper, who played a key part in Portugal's march to the Euro 2004 final before losing to new champions Greece, has become jaded with life in the capital and is considering his future.
The 28-year-old made a name for himself when he scored the deciding penalty to send England crashing out of the tournament at the quarter-final stages after saving Darius Vassell's spot-kick in the sudden death shoot-out.
The player's agent has urged new Reds boss Rafael Benitez to contemplate a swoop for the former Boavista keeper, who is keen to ply his trade in the Premiership after impressing in the finals in Portugal.
Ricardo's representative said: "He would jump at the opportunity to join the English Premiership, especially with Liverpool.
"He has shown his qualities throughout this year's tournament and if a club could afford him, then he would quit Lisbon.
"Rafael Benitez will know all about Ricardo from his time in Spain."

Hugo Viana reach's a deal with Sporting
http://www.maisfutebol.iol.pt/notic...838&div_id=1457
Newcastle and Sporting have agreed on terms to send Viana back to Alvelade on loan for the coming season. I can't get confirmation of the story since Sporting's official website doesn't have anything on it yet. But MF seems to think it's a done deal. Will have to check on it later.
