Default Euro 2008 Spain Squad

Will be announced on Friday.

The expected squad will be:

Quote:
Casillas, Reina y Palop

Sergio Ramos, Arbeloa, Capdevila, Fernando Navarro, Puyol, Marchena, Albiol y Pablo or Juanito

Senna, Xabi Alonso, De la Red, Xavi, Cesc, Iniesta, Riera y Silva

Fernando Torres, Güiza y David Villa, Bojan or Tamudo

Just needs to be decided if it's Bojan or Tamudo and Pablo or Juanito.

I personally would have stuck in Joaquin and maybe Albelda as they only have 3 proper wingers in that squad and they've only got 1 proper DM so if Senna gets injured then they'll be forced to play Xabi or Marchena at DM.

This squad could still all change tho.

Raul instead of Garcia IMO !!

And Marchena....Pablo had been a better option.

Raul scored 18 goals in La Liga this season. He was awarded 'player of the year' In Spain today (Marca)

Aragones is stubborn, and has something personally with Raul. He is former A.Madrid - so I reckon there are something in the wind there.

Btw, good news that Ruben de la Red is in the squad. Espesially for Real Madrid. I want this player back from Getafe next season, because he is a very exciting player.

It's a shame Raul has been left out.

Aragones said he wouldn't call up Raul because he's caused too many problems in previous Spain camps. Whether that's true or not we'll never know.

Also Raul is Player of the Year according to Marca? I'd say that Senna, Yaya, Keita, Casillas, Guiza are all more deserving of that award.

Damn Aragones ....
Raul is a great leader and personality, (I even think that some Barca fans agree with me.)

The man is in a great shape, and he's 30, so Aragones should have taken into consideration that Raul would have given 400% of his ability in order to end his career with a successful national campaign..

Raul didn't loose anything, but Aragones will loose his job, and then hopefully Del Bosque will become the new coach of the Spanish NT, ant will invite Raul to the 2010 WC ..
