Hugo Viana is relishing the prospect of returning to full fitness in October after breaking his toe in pre-season training with Osasuna.
The Portuguese midfielder is on loan at the Reyno de Navarra from Valencia, but has been unable to play having been sidelined only days after joining the club.
Now he has to repeat pre-season once again, but is just looking forward to being back out on the pitch.
"I will work as hard as I can so that the squad is without out for as little time as possible," he explained.
"Now I am ready to do pre-season over again and am real looking forward to coming back and training again..
"I am very pleased to be back as I missed my team-mates as Osasuna is now very much my club.
"Having trained a bit on my own and I feel fine and there was no pain.
"In two or three weeks I can start to train fully and then we will see what the deadlines are for recovery."
Viana was signed by Osasuna to fill in for Raúl García after he joined Atlético and the Pamplona-based club have felt his absence even more after Javad Nekounam was sidelined too.
