Default Pichichi 07/08

This years Spanish Top Goalscorer has more competition than ever before.

The odds for the teams according to Skybet are:

Quote:
Eto'o 7/2
Henry 4/1
van Nistelrooy 4/1
Villa 8/1
Forlan, D 10/1
Milito, D 14/1
Kanoute, F 14/1
Ronaldinho 14/1
Messi, L 14/1
Higuain, G 16/1
Aguero, S 20/1
Oliveira, R 20/1
Saviola, J 25/1
Reyes, J 25/1
Rossi, G 33/1
Tamudo, R 33/1
Morientes, F 40/1
Simao 40/1

Some of those choices I totally disagree with but anyone in the top 9 could easily win it.

For Other I'm putting the bottom half of that Skybet odds in and there are players like Zigic, Raul, Luis Garcia, Pavone, Kerzhakov, Kone, Luis Fabiano, Maxi Rodriguez etc. that might have a great season.

It won't be Henry or Etoo, I think Villa or Kanoute.

I think it's a joke to have Henry as 2nd fav.

u can bet on this here:

http://www.talksoccer.net/forum/vboo...2007-08-a.html

y is it a joke to have Henry second? OK he might not play every game, but he probably will play a large amount and considering how many years he won it in England it makes sense.

I think it'll be RvN this year, he's guaranteed a starting place every season and as long as he doesn't get injured long-term he'll win it as Real are geared towards supplying him with the ball to score.

To me it is, a player who will get injured (back problems) never played in Spain, will play in a team that will rotate, my main bug against him being second, is they have Etoo first, yes Barce do score most goal passed three seasons, but two Barce players who will fight for same spot in one and two , is stupid imo .

+ he won't take penalties or free kicks 100%, which takes his general tally down.

Don't think it'll be anyone from Barca, they'll probably have goals more spread out with all the attacking talent they've got. I'm going with Van Nistelrooy again, with Villa 2nd.

I'll back Villa, since Valencia's attacking play is geared around him. Van Nistelrooy may miss Beckham a little, and also we're seeing that team spread the goals about a little more. Obviously, there will either be rotation or out-of-position play at Barca, and Eto'o also has African Nations to take him away for a little while.

Backing an outsider, Zaragoza are getting better, which is very good news for Milito.

You know what, I'll go with Milito.

So far here is the top 12 as of Matchday 11:

Luis Fabiano - 8
Aguero - 7
Messi - 7
Guiza - 7
Rossi - 7
Kanoute - 6
Van Nistelrooy - 6
Raul - 6
Morientes - 6
Oliveira - 6
Tamudo - 6
Henry - 5

Luis Fabiano the suprise leader at the moment. Although it's still all close at the top.
