They really deserve the tie because they played quite well..I also feel that Quim is starting to find his form. Hopefully, he will shine against Sweden. What happen to Ricardo?

Quim has been suffering from the "Baia curse" when Scolari "banned" Baia from the Portuguese team he put a curse that the starting goalkeeper in the team would play bad. Quim, while he was a sub was playing great in Benfica. As soon as he became 1st team he got a lot worse.

About Ricardo... He's currently in Betis Sevilla but he's a sub. His carrer in going down the drain now he doesnt have his "godfather" Scolari to put him in the team even if he plays bad.

With this said... EDUARDO TO THE 1ST TEAM.

Eduardo looks quite good and deserves a shot, the problem is that we have lots of keepers who aren't bad but no one great.
About the game Leixoes we're worth their points a very hungry and well coached team, one more player with the ability of Wesley and they could be real dangerous.

We, meaning Benfica, looked tired out there. Those games against Sporting and Napoli must have taken a lot out of them and playing against a team that wouldn't give up at home was not a good game to come back on.

In the end you have to be honest and admit 1-1 was probably a fair and good result considering the circumstances. These two weeks will be fantastic for the players and Benfica.

Good point bud. Not to mention that we still have a couple key injured players. I think most teams will find that Leixoes will be a tough team to play against.
It has been many years since Ive been as excited with Benfica as I am this year. We have a chance to make some magic.

Agree with you Eurodad, they bought some talent have a capable coach as well, this is the most promising Benfica I have seen in years.

I agree too, I'm happy you mentioned the coach because I believe a lot of it has come down to a talented coach who is bringing back some pride to the fans and players by giving 100%.
