There's been a lot of talk. I hear that Aimar could be the player to push the team to the next level, hope it's true.

Apparently Aimar is close to joining Everton, they made a 10m € offer to Zaragoza.

Quique Flores still believes:
The Spanish manager believes Aimar will be playing for Benfica next season because the Argentinian International wants to play at a «high level».
"Aimar wants to play at a high level, he knows Benfica's history and that the club is very interested in him. It would be a dream signing for us and hopefully it works out in the coming days."
Quique hopes to sign a couple of more players other than Aimar, specifically ones that can help the team immediately.
" Rui Costa has been working hard to make sure our necessities are covered. We need good players, they have to bring quality, although young players may also be interesting."
"There is no set limit to when a new player can come, but of course,q earlier the better. The most important is not to precipitate."

Zaragoza wants more money, this is becoming too drawn out. In the end I still believe Benfica will get him.

Pablo Aimar's agent insists that the deal to take the Zaragoza playmaker to Benfica will be completed in the very near future.
The 28-year-old announced that he would leave the relegated Spanish side this summer, with Lisbon giants Benfica instantly showing their interest in the player.
Talks have been on-going for some time now, but the apparent delay in taking the diminutive Argentinian to Portugal had reportedly attracted interest from Premier League duo Everton and Newcastle.
However, Aimar's representative, Gustavo Mascardi, believes that his client will turn down moves to England and complete his switch to Lisbon in the next few days.
'I'm awaiting at the moment a phone call from (Zaragoza owner) Agapito Iglesias telling me that Benfica's money has arrived,' Mascardi told Portuguese newspaper Record.
'As things stand Aimar will be a player at the Portuguese club.'
