Not even the petition that's been circulating with thousands of signatures will be able to convince him to play another year. it's a shame, because i wish Benfica had a better send off for Rui Costa, in the shape of a League title.

Everyone loves him and with great reason too. I just think that at the stage that Benfica are in ( trying to rebuild ) Im not sure that we are not asking too much out of an inexperienced person to manage this team. He needs help. If he does it alone, he may and most likely will make mistakes. Mistakes we can not afford. Im just saying dont throw him to the wolves alone. Then maybe he could hire Humberto Please let it happen.

I agree, what I meant by that is the new Rui Costa/Aguas Era.

Rui Costa's vision for next season has already been talked about. A 4-3-3 formation and his main concern is the midfield.
Right now he has Filipe Bastos competing with Petit for mid-left and Ruben Amorim in mid-right if Kats gets sold. But his main concern now is replacing himself.

With what Benfica has now the forwards could look like Cristian Rodriguez (or DiMaria if Rodriguez gets sold) on the left, Oscar Cardozo in center and Freddy Adu on the right.
That's barring any major addition or subtractions.

It'll be interesting to see them going to a 4-3-3 formation. And the managerial position is looking more & more like it will go through Rui Costa's vision of how they should play. At this point I'm not even expecting any major manager to step in under the circumstances neither. It'll be a Rui Costa guy for sure though.
