I don't think so frank, It will be hard but this kid needs to stay in Portugal then move. I do think fabio is a star but often Cocky and that's something we don't need.
Sporting needs to keep there talent, then sell them when there worht something cause with the scouting report, teams will offer crazy money.
HERE IS A GREAT SITE FOR INFO:

Frank, This kid is a hot commodity.
I wonder what Drago thinks about this. All hype if you ask me, but He has potential. I think he should stay in Portugal, Sporting could benefit cause with all the media surrounding this kid, he may want to play foe the leao.

It's hype in part. Sometimes I wonder if we're witnessing the second come of Christ...or something. From the moment that he said he was Sportinguista, the media has treated him as a major wonder-kid.
He is fast, has nice skills and can play in the left-wing (quite rare in Portugal). He has mature tactically, and from what I know his biggest improvement is in the physical aspect of the game. Slowly, he is gaining an athlete's body and being able to sustain a high tempo kind of game during the 90 mins.
But still, make no mistake...his no Nani....no Vieirinha!

Oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! How sad!.......
The new "wonder kid because I'm Sportinguista" and the club "we've have a great academy, and if we buy talent like any other club, but we'll say that they are a product of our famous academy no mater what" won't get married in January after all...I feel like crying!
Shame on Rio Ave!!! Shame on Rio Ave!!! How could they??? To ask money for this transfer...it must be PDC's "black hand" working (after all, the same text refers the interest of FC Porto)!!!! Shame on Rio Ave!!! They should understand that SCP needs all the money they have to re-buy another SCP's academy product - Rochemback- and let Coentrão live his dream...
Oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! How sad!.......

Drago, it's the same thing with Porto, Where is barbosa? Vierinha?
Talent Goes along wya but it's the development that is the key. I agree thst Sporting does procrascinate alot about the Academy but you can't blame them when there coaches & trainers do a heck of a job.
Even portistas will admit, Sporting is a hotbed for talent. Look at Chelsea, They pouched for Ricardo fernandes & Fabio ferreira and there doing well.

I do not say that Sporting doesn't do a great job in their youth ranks. They do!
But the amount of publicity they get is way too much for their real value. I said it before and I'll keep it saying, in NOTHING FC Porto youth academy is worse...except the opportunities they give to their talents in the A squad. Sporting is a "open door"...no wonder...they can't even afford a player from II division Rio Ave, while FC Porto is much selective. And that's it! Even other clubs like Braga, Boavista, Leixões, Vitórias (Guima and Setu), Académica...do a job that is not that inferior to FC Porto's and Sporting's. Even Benfica is on a rise, and soon will fill the gap that still separates them from the other 2. But it has become a slogan, repeated over and over by the media...Sporting as being the untouchable youth academy that no other club can compare...quite WRONG!
I've also been robbed...look at Coelho in Inter...or Filipe Oliveira to Chelsea

All we can do is support these players and hope they pan out.
Benfica & Porto develop some Good talent but I Guess with the lavish Sporting Academy people and the amount of Great players that came out of that system but like to Generalize that we are the shite.

well, the facts dont lie
most of the best Portuguese players of recent times come from SPORTING
but Sporting sucks when it comes to signing players... I mean wtf is Alecsandro Bueno, Romagnoli ??? THESE GUYS ARE FUCKING SHITE and thats why the team is bad... Porto has good youth players too but ebcause they have money they make good signings and thus the younger players find it more difficult to break into the first team.

this kid is for real, saw some highlights in the Portuguese cup game,
and most of all he doesn't come from a big 3 three team, the teams the like to
promote players just for the hell of promoting.

Drago, Don't worry, You still have Flávio Paixão which reporters can hype too.
All I know is that I have a Group of player that I know will be successful. Its the drive, determination and also talent that makes them a star. Nobody predictaed ronaldo to be Good as he is.
