He may not be the same player from Euro 2000 but he loves the team and plays to the best of his ability, Benfica need players like this.

Even now, Quique Flores benches him, we hear no bad talk from Nuno Gomes and he states he will work hard to get into the team. Even at his age and all the games he played for Benfica he says he will have to work to break into the team. Other players would say they have earned the right if they were in his position. Players like him are good for the locker room, motivation, helping young players and all those things that never get credit.
