It seems as if Manuel Fernandes made some peace with Benfica.

he didn't even talk to Benfica it was his agent and Benfica agree, so they can get some money out of Everton until the end of the season, now its up to Everton to pay the 9 million euros at the end of the season, they got the option, like Bremen got the option over Porto Diego and Hugo Almeida.

with Katsouranis and Petit on the team he would be lost in the bench.
Benfica and Fernando Santos proved they can still win without Manuel Fernandes.

Do Benfica now own 100% of the player? I hope a future fee has been agreed, as that is what has been discussed but nothing official about it has been said yet (however Everton are still to make a press release). Do you guys still think Manuel is on his way out of Benfica? SO the Contract is just basically to make sure the ball is still i Benfica's court when a fee has to be agreed as he will have another 4 years on contract over previosuly having just one?

Fernandes was a player with massive potential, was linked with Man United but im surprised how things are turning out for him now. But i do think Everton is a good move, possibly can perform highly and then either return to Benfica or sign for Everton or even a bigger club depending on performances.

Yes as without a future fee clause I can't see him joining permanently at all. As if he performs well he will attract interest from the like of Man Utd. and command a fee out of our budget, and if he performs poor we won't want to pay sucha significant amount of money for a player whp hasn't performed for us.

Well lets give the man an honest shot at it. God knows we could use him if he can still play with his old form. He better not have any blue shirts on him though. lol lol

Agree...The man have scored some big European goals for Porto and could be the difference in the UEFA Cup because I have no faith in Nuno Gomes.
