Organizada pelo Clube Atlético e Cultural, a prova conta com a participação dos clubes portugueses por onde Mourinho passou como técnico principal, adjunto e das camadas jovens, com excepção do Estrela da Amadora, e de duas equipas estrangeiras: Dínamo de Moscovo e Chelsea, uma novidade em torneios portugueses. Desta forma, além do Clube Atlético e Cultural, na edição de 2006 participam o Benfica, Sporting, FC Porto, Leiria e Setúbal.
