Encarnados hipotecam passes de cinco jogadores

O Benfica hipotecou os passes de Geovanni, Petit, dos Santos, Fyssas e Carlitos como garantia à Somague por causa das dívidas relativas à contrução do novo estádio. A notícia é avançada hoje pelo "Jornal de Negócios" e foi confirmada por Domingos Soares de Oliveira, administrador executivo da SAD do Benfica.

As dívidas do Benfica pela construção do novo estádio levaram à negociação de um contrato de pagamentos com a construtora, assinado a 14 de Janeiro de 2005, em que a Somague , além dos passes destes cinco jogadores, passa também a ter, em caso de incumprimento do pagamento, garantias sobre "os direitos pagos pela Olivedesportos pela transmissão exclusiva de jogos de futebol referentes às épocas de 2011/2012 e 2012/2013, equivalentes a 7,5 milhões de euros anuais".

Caso algum dos cinco jogadores seja transferido para outro clube, o Benfica terá de apresentar outra garantia, inclusivamente com passes de outros futebolistas com valor semelhante.

«Quero partir para ter oportunidade de jogar noutro lado. Prefiro ser emprestado a um clube estrangeiro do que ficar em França, ir para Portugal ou Espanha, por exemplo», afirmou o avançado brasileiro, em declarações ao jornal francês Le Progrès.

O jornal Record dá esta quinta-feira conta de contactos entre o jogador e o Benfica e cita também Nilmar admitindo essa abordagem e o desejo de sair, bem como o seu interesse pessoal no Benfica.

O jogador brasileiro treinou com normalidade esta manhã, em Lyon. No final da sessão, o treinador, Gerard Houllier, afirmou aos jornalistas nada saber de uma proposta do Benfica para o brasileiro. Bernard Lacombe, conselheiro do presidente do campeão francês, fez declarações ao Maisfutebol no mesmo sentido: «Recebemos contactos de diversos clubes no sentido de emprestar o jogador, mas o Benfica não está entre eles. O Sporting sim, sondou-nos nesse sentido há uns tempos, mas depois nunca mais voltou a ligar-nos...», disse.

Nilmar tem 21 anos e transferiu-se na época passada para o Lyon, depois de se ter afirmado no Internacional de Porto Alegre. o jogador, que chegou a ser falado por várias vezes como hipótese para o Sporting, alinhou em 32 partidas da Liga francesa na última época, em que o Lyon voltou a ser campeão, na maioria das vezes como suplente, tendo apontado dois golos.

Na Liga dos Campeões alinhou em nove jogos e apontou quatro golos, numa temporada em que o campeão gaulês chegou aos quartos-de-final. Em 2003 foi campeão do Mundo de sub-20 com a selecção do Brasil.

LISBON, Sept 14 (Reuters) - An injury-time goal by striker Fabrizio Miccoli gave Benfica a 1-0 win over Lille in Champions League Group D on Wednesday to give the Lisbon team a big boost after their worst domestic start ever.



Miccoli, who joined the Lisbon club two weeks ago on loan from Juventus, headed home a cross from the left by substitute Pedro Mantorras two minutes into injury time.



'It was a good goal, really difficult, the Italian international said.



The win was a welcome boost for Benfica, the defending Portuguese league champions. The side are close to the bottom of the table with just one point and one goal from their opening three matches of the sesason.



Dutch manager Ronald Koeman abandoned his system of three central defenders and went back to the 4-4-2 scheme that Benfica used in winning the title last season.



'This is a good start to the Champions League. We're going to have more confidence,' Koeman said.



'I think in the second half we had more control of the game, we created opportunities by sending four, five players up front. I believe because of that we won the game.'



Benfica kept pressure on the French team but some spectacular saves by Senegalese goalkeeper Tony Sylva kept the home side at bay until Miccoli scored as many of the 32,000 spectators at the Stadium of Light were leaving.



Lille, who qualified for Europe's elite competition by surprisingly finishing runners-up to Olympique Lyon in Ligue 1 last season, played their usual counter-attacking game.



The visitors had their best chance after 25 minutes when striker Matt Moussilou failed to tap in a cross from the left by Daniel Gygax.



Lille coach Claude Puel said afterwards: 'We folded in stoppage time with the lot of accumulated fatigue and I've got nothing to reproach my players for. It was a good match in which to learn before moving on.



'We were really close to getting a point. Before we began this competition, we were the little guys. Tonight we showed we are capable of doing something.'



Lille midfielder Matthieu Bodmer added: 'That's the worst scenario. We thought we could take a point here and in the end we're leaving with none. But we've still got matches to play and we learnt a lot tonight. We weren't used to matches like this.'



Benfica, trophy winners in 1961 and 1962, returned to the group phase of the tournament after a seven-year absence. They have not been beaten at home in European tournaments since 1999.
