Final 1-1.
Marítimo should have had a penalty in the second half. I am a disappointed we didn't win.

I don't know. I will have to wait until Thursday to see the game, but from what I heard Manduca was fouled in the penalty box.
Apparently the stadium was nearly full, even with the raised prices!!!!
After the game Benfica fans caused some trouble outside the house of the Madeira branch of FC Porto supporters club, and on the roads outside the stadium.

I just saw this game last night/early this morning, so heres my comments on it:
Did Benfica send there rugby team. They were fouling us so much, and the referee was still givig them all the freekicks. The freekick where Benfica scored was never even a foul, and Benfica should never have scored - they never had any goalscoring opportunities throughout the match, only long range shots and a poor header from Argel.
Marítimo were much the better team, especially in the first half. I have never seen a Marítimo midfield so good!!!!! Manduca, Leo Lima and Alan are the perfect attacking combination. I just hope that we can hang on to these players instead of selling them to bigger clubs.
If Benfica did not have one of the best goalkeepers in Portugal, Marítimo would have easily won this game.
Nice to see a good crowd at Barreiros for a change.

I don't think either was a penalty really, both Sokota and Manduca made too much of it. The only two correct decisions the referee made all night!!!!!

Kleberson to Benfica
Benfica have offered Kleberson an escape route from Manchester United but The Red Devils are reluctant to let their Brazilian misfit leave.
The South American has failed to justify the £7 million price-tag that accompanied his move from Atletico Paranaense and was last seen getting injured in the Carling Cup win over Arsenal.
Benfica coach Giovanni Trapattoni sees Kleberson as an alternative for top target Maxi Lopez, whose move from River Plate has stalled.
'Trap' wants to sign the United man on loan but Sir Alex Ferguson is not keen on the proposal.
"He is one of the best foreign midfielders," Trapattoni told Record.
"Already, we spoke and we are going to see if we have the possibility to hire him.
"The player wants to come, the businessmen also but not the club.
"Negotiations are not always easy but the deal is not at a standstill."
Trapattoni has other targets, including Liverpool's Igor Biscan, according to Portuguese sources, but Kleberson would perhaps welcome a chance to prove his worth at Estadio da Luz.
United would prefer a permanent transfer and, if they do relent and allow the midfielder to leave, it must be with at least a view to a concrete sale.
The World Cup winner is still sidelined with the ankle injury he sustained against Arsenal's under-strength side on December 1.
