Joao Vieira Pinto caught lying over the money received by Benfica transfer to Sporting

João Pinto assumiu, em Coimbra, quando ouvido por elementos da Direcção Central de Combate ao Crime Económico da PJ, que mentiu quando foi pela primeira vez ouvido no âmbito do processo da sua transferência para o Sporting, em 2002. O jogador do Sp. Braga assumiu agora que recebeu do Sporting os 4 milhões de euros que negociou como prémio de assinatura.

Durante o interrogatório, que durou 3 horas, João Pinto entregou aos investigadores cópias do aditamento ao contrato que celebrou com o Sporting e que previa o referido prémio de assinatura. A PJ ficou também na posse de alguns dos cheques pré-datados referentes à última tranche desse prémio (800 mil euros), assinados por Ribeiro Teles. João Pinto tem vindo a descontar esses cheques.

Como assumiu que mentiu quando disse em 1.º interrogatório que não sabia do paradeiro dos 4 milhões de euros, João Pinto foi constituído arguido por falsas declarações. JVP disse também que a Goodstone nunca foi dele nem de José Veiga.

Em causa está agora um crime fiscal, com base nos 4 milhões de euros do prémio em questão. Continua a novela entre Sporting, JVP e Veiga...
