Camacho continua a acreditar nas possibilidades de o Benfica chegar ao título, mas avisa os seus jogadores que não há espaço para falhas. A sete pontos do FC Porto, o Benfica joga sábado em Setúbal, procurando reduzir a diferença pontual para a formação comandada por Jesualdo Ferreira.

O técnico reconheceu ontem, à chegada a Lisboa, depois de ter passado o fim de ano no seu país, que o embate no Estádio do Bonfim é fundamental, mas lembrou que a sua equipa tem de encarar todos os jogos com a máxima concentração. "Todos os jogos são fundamentais. Estamos numa situação em que a distância para o FC Porto não nos permite qualquer falha, cada jogo é muito importante", realçou.

À entrada para o último jogo antes das férias de Natal, o conjunto benfiquista estava a dez pontos do líder da prova, mas a vitória ante o Estrela e a derrota do FC Porto com o Nacional permitem a Camacho alimentar novas esperanças de chegar ao primeiro lugar. "Penso que a derrota do FC Porto dá mais possibilidades de lutar pelo título, mas primeiro temos de nos concentrar no nosso trabalho - não devemos pensar no que os outros estão a fazer." Após o regresso de férias, o treinador do clube da Luz tem sentido algumas dificuldades para preparar o jogo com o Setúbal, atendendo aos condicionalismos físicos de Cardozo e Nuno Gomes. Se o avançado paraguaio já treinou ontem, o capitão ainda está mais demorado: "O Nuno tem um problema pontual, penso que, se não estiver disponível para este jogo, já estará para o próximo", reagiu, escusando-se a comentar as declarações de Nuno Gomes, segundo as quais Lisandro seria dispensado se estivesse no Benfica. "Não comento, cada um tem a sua opinião."

Sobre Mantorras, o técnico admite que "está cada vez melhor", mas frisa que "tem de continuar a trabalhar, pois tem um problema diferente", revelando confiança no avançado. "Espero que possa ser importante no Benfica esta temporada."

The papers are reporting that Mantorras is still in the gym and has not yet played or trained in the team. Quique Flores stated that he was once a great player for the team but has a long road of recovery ahead of him thus him being in the gym for all these weeks.

I don't know if Quique is just saying this or really means it. Hopefully he does mean it because this is the first time since his injury that a coach simply hasn't ignored him and put him on the bench. Quique is actually trying to get him back to the player, or close to, that he used to be apparently.
