now that was some match good for the neutrals i thought especially both set of fans. pretty dissapointed we got beat though, thought a draw would of been a fairer result for both sides, also you've gotta stop bitching about your goal getting chopped and our goal for being 'offside' use are starting to sound like a broken record going on and on, even though the freekick leading up to your second goal was the worst bit of refereeing ive seen for many years. but theres no point in moaning about it now its not gonna change the final result and thats football for you at the end of the day.
watching the 2nd half yesterday showed me how much scotland has improved since the 1st match of the qualifiers, we were dominating the world champions and had a few chances we should have taken. the bigger plus point is that our squad are still a young bunch of players but with a lot of experience and we should go into the world cup qualifiers with belief that we'll qualify.
finally when big davie weir retires from the international scene i think big eck will pick russel anderson to partner mcmanus in defence (if he gets a game for sunderland) or andy webster when he's back and fit.

agreed, however if some younger talent, from some of the SPL teams start to attract attention we could see them, first into friendly's then possibly into bigger games.

Ive already answered that criticism so stop repeating it because u cant think of anything better. If the roles were reversed, no I wouldn't complain given the circumstances of that game, because I would realize what a moron I would be for doing so. As I said, Im intelligent enough to realize my point would be void given earlier events, ie: it should have never been 1-1 at the point of the Chiellini foul, which I admit was bullshit, but it shouldn't have had an effect on the game to begin with if it werent for the ref wrongly disallowing our goal and allowing your's.

Which 1 is that? Great Britain or Scotland?
I suppose the current generation of Scots, who's family come from Scotland, arent allowed to support Scotland?
If u ever come to Canada, make sure to say that to a Canadian Scot. They would use u as target practice for the caber toss at the next Highland games

I really thought that this game was secondary for the Scottish campaign. Scotland was put into jeopardy because of that damn game in Georgia. If they beat them, I doubt we would be in the Euro. Just a hunch!
However for some reason, which I can't explain, the Azzurri are lethal when they need a goal or win. Always been that way. Very hard to beat, very disiplined, and work incredibly hard.
We beat France in Italy.
You beat Georgia.
We are playing a boring draw in Scotland, and the french are watching on tv.

Jager, If we had beaten georgia your right we probably would be through. Not beating them away was our downfall in this campaign but we can learn from these mistakes.

Doc was implying that I should support Canada over Italy. I was using Scottish Canadian's as a parallel, since they support Scotland for the same reasons I support Italy, yet he would never say that to a Canadian Scot.

yes they can cheer for Scotland but Canada would still be there main country or cause for support, which seems like the opposite for you. I dont here you talking about Canada etc, all i see is you supporting Italy - for whatever your reasons are.
Yeah the ref got caught with Italia scarfs and also did you hear that he dined at Rino Gattuso's father-in-laws restaurant before the match?

the Daily Record ran a front cover on Saturday, that was James McFadden superimposed onto Russel Crowe as Gladiator. That’s a hint that you shouldn’t really take much notice of their sensationalist antics. Same goes for the Scottish Sun. Think “National Enquirer” rather than “Reuters”.

And we ( I if you will....) Support Canada.but when you have top tier players ditching the nation such as Langdon Donavon,Owen Hargreaves and most recently Jonathan De Guzman...it really makes you wonder when Canada will qualify for the next world cup.
