U talk about buying ref's, well who disallowed a legit Italian goal? The ref. Who let Scotland score an offside goal? The ref.

Ive outlined it many times in this thread, do the math. There is no way Scotland fans can bitch about ref's costing them the game when the ref kept your team alive, and prevented Italy from widening the gap.

In your opinion of course. I, on the other hand, take a look at the big picture.

The national team are world champions, an Italian club are European champions, a player in serie a will sweep all the player awards, as was the case in the previous year.

For a league in shambles, it's cleaning shop pretty good.

Italy are world champions but I doubt they still will be come the next world cup, today a Scottish team humbled the supposed "world champions" who had to resort to sitting back, playing negative, poor football which in the end luckily got them a result.

Scotland are a good team, I never said otherwise. As for humbled, u lost, so not really.

What u call negative, poor, football, I look at as tactically and defensively superior football, with players like Toni, Buffon, etc being unmatched in skill by Scotland.

It took u numerous chances to score an illegal goal, whereas it only took Italy a few to score 2 (Toni and Di Natale). That speaks to superior Italian defending and superior Italian finishing, hence y they are world champs, 4 times.

Humbled was the correct word because for 88 minutes of that game we were the better side.

If Toni wasn't in your side today we would have probably ran over the top of you, Italy were pish - Toni was the best player by a mile.

Sorry but most people will agree that true world champions are teams that have a flair going forward, mainly attack and have a strong backline to get them out of trouble if need be. True world champions dont sit back for the last half an hour and play for a draw.

Are you including the two world cups in the 1930s? Some of that was more than a bit dubious. You'll remember Mussolini - his involvement was shameful and completely devalued those wins.

The big problem with Italian football is that they have some truly great players ,Toni just now, but they never let the beautiful game flow. They're too interested in being negative and will do anyting to win, hence the corruption and bribery scandals.

That's why they'll never be held in the same regard as the likes of Brazil who are always considered true champions!

End of the day the ref won you the game with that bullshit call (if the shoe was on the other foot mate you would be calling for his head).

The refs gave you a goal and wrongly dissalowed a goal for Italy and your complaining. The game would have been over going into the last minute if the refs done there jobs correctly. Scotland can't complain at all. They spent the whole game fouling and complaing to the ref when they should have thanked him for doing the best he could to save there campaign.

Its obvious it wasn't a foul at the end but the refs obviously have to give Italy a few make up calls for the ones they got wrong already in the game.
