My favourite team in Norway. I hope they'll do well the coming season. They have been in first division in four years now, but is a great club with many supporters, nice stadiums and a good potential.
The club's director is former Sheffield United and Leeds player Jostein Flo. They have also former Liverpool, Tottenham, Wimbledon and Aston Villa player Øyvind Leonhardsen in the squad.
Some rich investors have bought the club and some famous faces are expected to enter the city of Drammen.
Leve Godset!

The boys from Drammen has been doing very well this season. They have a good squad now, and it will get better. But even though they have that strong squad, I belive Godset will struggle next season. Dag Eilev Fagermo has no experience.

Indeed and even Godset played outstanding this season in first division, many of their regular players aren't good enough for Tippeligaen.
They need actually five-six new players IMO. Dag Eilev has no experience either - but that can go both ways.
They need three new defenders. A couple of midfielders and a "worldclass" striker on top.
It shall be exciting to see Mattias Andersson next season. Player of the year in first division and what a performance he did this season. Equal with Daniel Nannskog when he played in first division - and he was the number one goalscorer this year in TL.

The goalkeeper department is sorted out. But the defence is not good enough for Tippeligaen. Only Deila is decent enough. The midfield is alright, although some of them are getting a bit old.
Andersson has the prospect to become another Nannskog. Kovac har proved not to be good enough for the top division, but he is a decent squad player.
So I agree, Godset needs reinforcement in defense and attack. And some younger midfielders.

Exactly.Knut Tørum lead Rosenborg to gold with no experience from Tippeligaen.Fagermo have received many praises all over and VIF have been linked to him. He's a good coach with good reputation.

He is one of the biggest coach talents Norway have at the moment. Linked with Vålerenga already but signed a new contract with Godset.
The only thing I don't like, is that his philosophy is and will always be 4-3-3. If you shall run that formation in TL, you need very good players to success...something Godset not have right now, and I doubt they'll get it.
But I can have wrong. DEF has told that he will never take over a club who is against 4-3-3.

Strømsgodset have dropped the offer to sign Anders Rambekk since Rambekk couldn't decide until time limit.Rambekk needed some more time to think and Godset decided to drop the offer. The offer fee was between 3-4 million kroner.
Rambekk got over 150 private message on his mobile from canarie fans who wish he will stay at Lillestrøm.I can understand this was an difficult resolution to take.

Why so impatient, Jostein Flo?
Rambekk is a national player for Norway and had reinforced Godset. LSK accepted the offer too, so I reckon he is not guaranteed a regular place for "The Norwegian canaries"
Wrong decision. He will probably go to an other club now.

Godset haven't given up on Rambekk just yet.So now Rambekk got another option and can at the moment choose between Strømsgodset, Odd or continue playing for Lillestrøm.I hope he choose Godset.I like the player but I like to see LSK make profit on a player which join on Bosman for two years ago and got a breakthrough in his carieer in LSK.

I can't belive he didn't deliver more for Molde this season. He's one of the most talented players at the club.

Maybe Godset will get the best of him.A player with a great potensial who have struggled to get the real breakthrough.
