Here's another one...
Quote:
West Ham have offered Swedish midfielder Freddie Ljungberg to Serie A side Roma, according to reports emanating from Italy.
Ljungberg's agent has previously rejected reports suggesting the Hammers were planning to pay-off the player to let him to leave the club.
However, fresh rumors claim West Ham are keen to sell the Sweden international just a year after he signed at Upton Park from Arsenal.
But it is suggested that Roma are reluctant to match West Ham's reported asking fee of €3million (£2.4million).
Ljungberg made 25 league appearances for West Ham last season - scoring two goals.

Nah, he's useless now.
And if nothing else he's far too injury prone anyway.

More on Mancini, Suazo and Ljungberg.
Quote:
Freddie ready for Roma
Monday 9 June, 2008
Roma are looking to the future, as Amantino Mancini’s departure could bring in both David Suazo and Freddie Ljungberg.
The Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup holders aim to make an even stronger push for the Scudetto in 2009 and are reinforcing their squad without breaking the bank.
It is reported today that Mancini’s inevitable move away from the Stadio Olimpico opens up the door to two new arrivals.
Inter are the favourites to sign the Brazilian and could hand over Honduras international striker Suazo in a straight swap.
Although he has spent only one season at San Siro since his move from Cagliari, Suazo is already on the way out and his pace would give Roma’s attack a new dynamic.
Speed is also a factor in the Giallorossi’s other target, as Ljungberg brings width and his trademark hard-working style to Luciano Spalletti’s 4-2-3-1 system.
The former Arsenal hero is currently plying his trade at West Ham, although considered a poor signing with just two goals in 25 appearances.
It is rumoured Roma could tempt the Swede to Serie A for just £2m and the opportunity to play in the Champions League.

sweet on my man.if he was 3-5 years back it would be great but now he is just another dead weight.
another thing about our club besides we are italian and our league isn't that lucrative is that our management is very very scared in being a bit bold in investment.in todays world no club is free of debt and to the sensi's they just seem to be more terrified about the debt then restructuring it and taking shot at glory wch will then repay the debt not completely but enough to make profit as other clubs on the top.
thats why we have a wage system thats damn complex and seem unfair in some aspects.
wth the sale of mancini wch i have my fingers crossed would be a big help to us to get that dynamic forward we need.not any forward or old generation ones.and wth now hot of the news that even inter wants ferrari(wch i dont believe even a bit )hope that brings a bit more money from him then we can seell and get for him.

Mancini/Aquilani vs Crespo/Suazo.
Hope they can work out a Mancini-Suazo deal. Aquilani needs to stay bc Pizarro is starting to make a lot of mistakes.

I think Crespo stated that he wans to remain at Inter...but Suazo would of been good last season as well. Roma need to look at a winger though...Unless Vucinic plays the wing. But, i like Maggo!!!!!

Crespo is getting up there now...if he came as a third striker, absolutely.
But, Suazo is the better player at this point...faster, stronger...just didn't play much bc of the great players at Inter. He should of came here last season...and was close to coming until Milan/inter infiltrated our verbal agreement.

And usually Suazo came on late in game when Inter was leading 2-0 and the other team was trying to score. So, he didn't have many scoring opportunities. But, sounds like Roma will take cash for Mancini.

Duke...looks like their close to stealing Davide.
Quote:
Reports in Italy suggest Davide Petrucci is poised to sign his first professional contract with the European Champions
An offer from Old Trafford for the Italian Under-17 international midfielder is thought to dwarf that on the table from AS Roma.
The sum of £80,000-a-year has been mentioned for the player, with Roma offering only a fraction of that.

did you know united even have a lazio youth there.well at least if he can emulate what rossi did we can sure buy him back and by that time im sure petrucci has progressed even better compared to him staying at roma youth system.
