Iaquinta got 8 goals this year, same as Mancini and most of this game he played came off the bench. Iaquinta is a high impact, high energy player. Something that Roma lack with Taddei and Mancini. Mancini is a little cry baby as well...he needs to go for team morale.

Every time i see Iaquinta come on, he's also determined to get into the action right away...maybe bc he's used to sitting on the bench for hours...but that's definitely something that Taddei doesn't have.

If nothing else Iaquinta always offers pace and work rate.
He's just one of those players that has a physical presence and always seems to cause problems. Maybe not the best technically, but he has his strengths.

More on Iaquinta...let the summer rumours start.

Juventus use Iaquinta to trump Arsenal for Aquilani
tribalfootball.com - May 20, 2008
Juventus are launching a swap bid for Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani.
Aware of a move from Arsenal for the young Italy international, Juve are ready to make an offer for the midfielder after receiving short shrift from Liverpool over an approach for Xabi Alonso.
Gazzetta dello Sport says Juve are confident they can beat Arsenal for Aquilani by offering striker Vincenzo Iaquinta, a favourite of Roma coach Luciano Spalletti's, in exchange.

but lets get real, we missed out on him or better yet we lost in the race to sign him.and i bet he isnt going any where, since h e has proved to be a valuable addition to the old lady.
we need to look else where now to get that forward we need.

But, Juve are getting very close to Amauri...he hasn't played much as it is...i think Juve can afford to sacrifice him. Unless Juve play a trident and bring him off the bench...either way, Iaquinta will be in the same boat, if not worse next year.
But, i would hate to lose Aquilani for Iaquinta. Unless Juve offer cash as well.

1 for 1 doenst seem right for a player like aquilani.it would be major loss and i dont think money + iaquinta would fill the hole left by our player leaving.unless the cash is huge
but i say better exchange him wth mancini .we get rid of ourslef of him and we get money plus a player that we want.

This makes me laugh...
Quote:
Real Madrid coach Schuster targets Roma striker Vucinic
tribalfooball.com - May 21, 2008
Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster is chasing Roma striker Mirko Vucinic.
Controcampo says Schuster sees Vucinic as ideal cover for his first-choice strike-pairing of Ruud van Nistelrooy and Raul.
Vucinic is in co-ownership at Roma with Lecce and it's mooted the capital club would be willing to buy the remaining 50 per cent of the striker's registration for £4 million and then listen to what Real are willing to offer.
A bid of £18 million would convince Roma to cash in.

In fairness they're only reporting what's in the papers.
I did have a chuckle at this one though.
