Or maybe I was wrong and Dave just likes to play without a keeper.

Forgot about Doni ...Roma can pretend there are the Juve of 2 years ago, where Buffon never touched the ball a game.

I swear, Juventus didn't need to play with a goalie that season, Buffon was so bored in net...

I can say something as to why Juve were so powerful...but then i will be neg repped

Corini eyes Roma switch Monday 11 June, 2007

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Eugenio Corini has admitted that he would be glad to join Roma once his contract with Palermo expires.

The former Rosanero captain bid farewell to the Sicilian outfit last week, after the Isolani refused to renew his deal, which ends this month.

Corini is now looking for a new club in Serie A, as he wishes to end his career in the top flight, and the Giallorossi are reportedly keen on signing the 36-year-old.

“Roma would be an amazing experience and I am pleased to hear that they are interested in me,” said the former Chievo star.

“I am evaluating different options, this is a difficult moment in my career. The proof of the pudding is in the eating, we will see,” added Corini, who could represent an alternative to David Pizarro.

The midfielder has also been in contact with Siena and should be in Tuscany today to discuss details with the Bianconeri, as he is reportedly interested in a £570,000 one-year deal or a £857,000 two-year contract.

Corini, also target for Napoli and Torino, gave his farewell to Palermo in a press conference on Friday.

In his tearful statement he admitted that he was hoping to become a part of the club, playing for another season and then taking on a directorial role, but that the Rosanero didn’t want him

no need for us to be the queue for old players.thankz.

Mauro Camoranesi could leave Juventus and would favour a move to one of Inter, Milan and Roma according to his agent.

The world champion is contracted to the Bianconeri until 2009, but the latest talks with the club to extend his deal have stalled over his wage demands.

“We have had no contact with any other outfits, we are trying to solve the situation here,” explained agent Sergio Fortunato.

“Mauro will consider another option if Juve refuse to give him what he thinks he deserves to earn,” added the player’s representative.

The Bianconero has reiterated in the past few months that the difference between the financial offer and the amount he was asking for is significant.

“If Mauro were to leave, he will only play for one of Inter, Milan and Roma. The Nerazzurri and Coach Roberto Mancini asked for the player last summer,” continued Fortunato.

“At Roma there is a £1.7m salary cap? That is what Mauro earns here at Juve, where his wage is half of what the important players are currently paid,” concluded Fortunato.

David Trezeguet has also warned Juve that he is ready to leave the Old Lady, as he feels that the club does not respect him despite his status as Juve’s all-time top foreign scorer with 140 goals.

Like i was saying in the Juve forum..they already said they wont strengthen Inter by giving them another good player which only leaves Milan and Roma...and Milan are set i dont think they need him...which leaves Roma..at this point if trez leaves Juve id say that Romas chances are pretty good!

Corini or Camoranesi...why not both. Corini can arrive on a free transfer and can be a great sub for us off the bench. I really like Corini, even though he is old, he still gets the job done.

Camo earns £1.7m at Juve and would earn the max if he came here. But Roma would have to give something up for him as he's still contracted. I see Roma going for Corini rather then Camo...basically because they are cheap.

Roma on brink of deal for Catania's Vargas
tribalfooball.com - June 11, 2007

Roma are in advanced talks with Catania for fullback Juan Vargas.

The Peru international is close to seeing a £2.5 million fee agreed between the two clubs for his transfer, but says: "I don't know anything about the Roma interest.

"At the moment I am a Catania player and all I can do is stand back and wait and see what happens."

We'll see...
Quote:

Tuesday 12 June, 2007
Mauro Camoranesi’s agent has admitted that his client may follow David Trezeguet out of the Juventus door.

The winger is in talks regarding a contract renewal, but an agreement may be difficult to reach given that he wants a significant pay increase to stay on in Turin.

And after David Trezeguet sent the Juventus hierarchy a clear ‘I’m out of here’ signal during his goal celebration on Sunday, a Camoranesi exit may also be on the horizon.

“I was at the stadium with Mauro and when we saw David’s reaction we were both surprised as we didn’t think things were that bad,” said Sergio Fortunato.

“It seemed like David wanted to tell us that we should also go, even if our situation is different from his.

“The club has offered us a pay rise and an extension, but that might not be enough.

“I will meet [general director Jean-Claude] Blanc shortly, but if the numbers don’t change then I think we will need to take a decision.”

Juventus renewed Gianluigi Buffon’s contract last week and are hoping that other key players will follow the goalkeeper’s example, but Fortunato is critical of the club’s attitude.

“They can just say that they hope we will sign a new contract, but Juve need six or seven top-quality players excluding Buffon for next season in Serie A.

“I don’t think Mauro will stay with this contract, especially as he has already received some offers from Italy and from Spain.

“Roma? We certainly hope so as Mauro would like to play there,” concluded Fortunato.

Meanwhile, Juve sporting director Alessio Secco is expected to meet Trezeguet’s father and agent in the next few days.

Although the Frenchman has made it clear that he is off, the Old Lady will have one more go at convincing him to stay on with them.

He's definitely going but I don't think it'll be to Roma.
