Yeah, true. Tonetto came on a free and Vucinic came signed on loan as well.
In fact I think the last time Roma really spend a substantial amount of money was on Mexes (due to the compensation they had to pay Auxerre).

Roma interested in Di Natale and Budan
I always liked Di Natale...and Budan is always a threat. But i think Roma will firstly see how the Montella, Vucinic and Tavano deals go through and see who they wish to keep. I prefer a Di Natale.

After qualifying for the Champions League quarter finals, Roma stock has gone up by 7% and the club has an extra 5 million euros to invest in new players.
The giallorossi are at work trying to renew Chivu, Mexes and Mancini’s contracts. Among the Serie A players targeted for next season are Parma striker Igor Budan and Udinese’s Antonio Di Natale.

Honestly I think Budan would be perfect for you. He's the kind of player you need, a target man, someone than can hold up the ball and that's a threat in the air. With someone like him you'd be able to play Totti in his natural trequartista position.
Di Natale would be a decent squad player as well, someone to fill in for Mancini etc.

Ya, i like Di Natale on the left side. But for the amount of money that would get him.....as a back up to Mancini wouldn't be too smart. Budan is good, and young as well. Well see what Roma do this summer.

They are smart then, I rate Budan very highly. And the search continues for another striker....Tavano playing?

Tavano has been in and out, it's clear that Spalletti doesn't see him as a first team regular just yet.
Totti is still the best option up front in my opinion.

Tavano is more on the outs...rather then in. I think Spalletti is more disappointed with him then anything. He was brought in to relieve Totti and provide some spark. He has done nothing of the sorts. He has one goal and has yet to gel with the team. I'm upset that he hasn't found a place, even as a sub. I would like to see how Roma play with Tavano and Vucinic in our lineup. Vucinic played a couple minutes and seemed to be lively. But either of the two could be gone next season....flip a coin at this point...or let them both go.

Jacques Faty to Roma?
I would welcome the move.....although i think Juve will land him in the end!

Faty eyes Roma switch Monday 12 March, 2007
Rennes stopper Jacques Faty has admitted that he would be glad to join his brother Ricardo at Roma.
The defender is contracted to the Ligue 1 side until June 2007 and could move on a free transfer at the end of the season, as Coach Pierre Dreossi has not granted him much playing time so far.
“Roma is not an impossible destination, their assistant Coach has asked my brother Ricardo about me,” said the player.
“I admit it would be a nice challenge,” continued the Frenchman.
“I don’t know if Philippe Mexes will stay next season, but a third defender’s role behind Cristian Chivu and Mexes would suit me fine,” concluded Faty.
The former France Under-21 international was close to joining Juventus in January before making a last-minute U-turn, deciding to wait until the end of the season before leaving.
The 23-year-old has received an offer to extend his contract at Rennes, although it seems unlikely that he will accept.

I don't think he wants to play for us, he wants to play at Roma with his brother.
Plus you do need another CB.

We desperately need another central defender. Ferrari played pretty well yesterday, but didn't mark his man properly on the corner which lead to the Udinese goal.
Trade you Ferrari for a Juve trainer?? Deal?
