Lee linked with Roma switch
Quote:
Tottenham defender Lee Young-pyo could be set for a move to Roma, according to the player's agent.
Roma have held a long-term interest in Lee and tried to sign him last January.
The Giallorossi are in the market for a new defender and are hoping to lure Lee to the Italian capital.
Lee, who played at left back last season, has been moved to right back this term following the arrival of Benoit Assou-Ekotto.
Spurs could be willing to do a swap deal with Roma as they are reported to be back on the trail of Egyptian striker Mido.
Lee's South Korean agent Chin Sung-Won has said that a deal is close to being completed.
"Tottenham and AS Roma have agreed in principle to the transfer of Young-pyo Lee," Sung-Won told the Yonhap news agency.
"We are in talks with AS Roma on detailed contract terms.
"You can consider the deal as almost sealed, as the only remaining procedure is the player's decision."
Should Lee move on it could see Spurs make a renewed bid to sign long-term target Pascal Chimbonda.

highly unlikely. The Mido sale wouldn't bring in that much, and Tevez would probably cost 25 mil. Also, he seems more likely to go to England according to his agent.
Also, he would probably go to a bigger club.

Not necessarirly mate. Roma are plenty big, and he and his agent have been giving conflicting reports on where he wants to play or not.
Personally it would be a great option, I hope it happens.
Do you imagine Roma with him in the lineup????
Secondly he won't cost that much. He's unproven still, and considering what other proven strikers have gone for, he still has to prove himself in Serie A.
Lastly, I do agree that Mido money will not be enough.

I meant Roma are not a big club in comparison to everyone else he has been linked with ie: Man U, Milan, Madrid, etc. Also all of the clubs i just mentioned would be able to give him much higher wages.
If Roma get him, awesome news for Italy. Makes serie a more competitive.

He has Italy written all over him. Roma would be stupid to pass him up, especially since they need a striker badly.

There's only today and tomorrow to sort these signings out...Vucinic would be a great option...and Tevez would also be good but Roma better act fast.
Hope we can sort this out as fast as we sorted out Mido.
Fingers crossed

Transfer window is closing really soon...Roma would be fortunate to hold off competition from these clubs in order to sign him.
We'll know pretty soon...by Friday tranfers are over.

Quote:
Argentine international Carlos Tevez is on the brink of a move to Roma, according to reports in the Brazilian press. O Estado de Sao Paulo reports that the forward has already agreed terms with the Serie A club.
The paper also claims the 22-year-old's agent is in Italy concluding a deal to take him from Corinthians to the Stadio Olimpico.
If completed, the transfer would represent a significant coup given the reported interest from a clutch of top clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
Tevez will be in London this weekend for Argentina's friendly international against Brazil at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
Tevez impressed in patches at the World Cup in Germany, although he was unable to prevent a quarter-final exit to the hosts despite playing all 120 minutes.
Since returning he has not trained with the Corinthians squad and is in open conflict with the club's management over a move to Europe.
"Before the World Cup, the directors promised they would not keep me here. They know I want to leave," Tevez told Fox Sports.
