Inter shouldn't keep on reinforcing their opponents like that.

Roma closing in on Esposito
I've just heard that Roma are close to signing Mauro Esposito from Cagliari.
The summer transfer window is almost over and Roma have since been trying to sign a new quality striker.
I'm still hoping that Iaquinta will join Roma, but there are only a few days left of the transfer window.

Sky sports, yesterday:
Quote:
Roma are ready to seal the signing of Cagliari star Mauro Esposito.
The Giallorossi have already bolstered their midfield with the signing of David Pizarro from Internazionale - but they now look set to follow that up with the capture of the Italian international.
Esposito has admitted that he is tempted by the Eternal City and Cagliari president Massimo Cellino admits Roma are favourites to land him ahead of the likes of Palermo or Fiorentina.
"He needs new stimulation," Cellino told Radio Radio.
"If we needed money, I'd have sold him last year. Last season Palermo insisted a lot to sign him, whilst Fiorentina tempted the guy. But now I could give him to Roma, I don't think to Palermo."
Roma are also reported to have enquired about West Bromwich Albion forward Dimonansy Kamara. (what?)
The former Modena star impressed during his stay in Italy - but he has since failed to hit the heights expected of him in England, with both Portsmouth and latterly West Brom.
Now Roma are believed to be considering a move, but it is believed The Baggies are keen to keep Kamara as they look to bounce back to The Premiership at the first time of asking.
Meanwhile, the club have allowed Gianluca Comotto to join former club Torino on loan.

Roma to sell now, buy later
Quote:
Roma to sell now, buy later
Wednesday 23 August, 2006
Roma are in need of cash to finalise their summer signings with Samuel Kuffour, Ahmed Mido and Shabani Nonda possibly on their way out of the club.
The Giallorossi have eyed Mauro Esposito of Cagliari, Chievo’s Franco Semioli and Lecce striker Mirko Vucinic, but the outfit will be forced to sell first if they want to please Coach Luciano Spalletti.
Kuffour seems keen on leaving Roma and has been paired with Tottenham, Portsmouth, Bolton, Schalke 04, Hamburg and Juventus.
However, the central defender’s agent Oscar Damiani has been forced to admit that there are no concrete negotiations underway.
The main obstacle seems to be the Ghana defender’s current wage of £2.8m plus image rights, a sum that has put off many interested parties.
That may force Roma to sell a striker with one from Mido or Nonda being sacrificed before the window closes.
Reports suggest that the Egyptian forward could return to Tottenham after having played the last two seasons for Spurs on loan.
“When I returned to Roma this year I wasn’t sure I would have liked to stay, but I found a very different environment from the one I had left,” Mido stated in the past weeks.
“I would like to stay here, but I know there have been some offers and if the club deems it necessary to sell me, I would much enjoy returning to Tottenham.”
The Congo-born Nonda was wanted by Turkish side Fenerbahce at the end of July, but declined his interest in moving and has not received any further offer since then.
The Giallorossi are in need of cash to invest after finalising David Pizarro’s £4.7m move from Inter as he signed a four-year contract worth £1.2m per season.

I like Cerci, we're about the same age. Also he's apparently really, really quite good.

I hear:
Kuffor is going to Tottenham
Nonda is going to Fenerbache
and Mido wants to leave as much as Roma want to sell him.
We plan on getting:
Vucinic
Esposito

Goalkeeper...
Well yet again a new season has come...and Roma are again in trouble of lacking a good enough goalkeeper...it was Pelizolli...then Zotti...then Curci...and now its Doni.
All of these goalkeepers have one thing in common:
When we first discovered their goalkeeping abilities to be fantastic...an amount of time goes by anbd they lose their touch...most recently Doni in the Suppercoppa letting in 4 goals! We have never let in that many since that awful game against Juve.
Here are the confirmed keepers from www.asroma.it:
1 GIANLUCA CURCI
12 CARLO ZOTTI
27 JULIO SERGIO BERTAGNOLI
32 DONIEBER ALEXANDER MARANGON (DONI)
Who do you think should be Roma's no.1?

Just play Curci, he is the real deal. I think the keeper gets blamed for some sloppy defensive coverage.

Tevez for Roma?
Looks almost as if we are finally getting another quality signing.
Reports are saying that Roma are close to signing Carlos Tevez - who played quite well at the WC.
This can be money well spent.
Reports also say that the money needed to sign Tevez from Corinthians is from THE SELLING OF MIDO.
I'm sure everyone (especially Rosa who is very unhappy with Mido) will be more satisfied with the Argentine rather than the Egyptian.
