Honestly, all I've heard out of Roma is Cassano leaving or going. I think the transfer ban has put them behind.

They are still not in the best shape financially, I can't see them adding either of these players.

but we all know that we cant base a person on one season now can we?????? evra is young and strong he can play left back or left wing on the midfield....either way if we get him we can play wit a 4 man defence wit pannuci on the right and evra on the left so we can really exploit other teams to our wing play.

Default Dacourt exit looms

Olivier Dacourt looks set to leave Roma during the summer, according to his agent.

The 31-year-old joined The Giallorossi in July 2003 but has struggled to make an impression at the Stadio Olimpico.

His contract is due to expire in the summer, although club officials are yet to open talks about renewing his deal, thereby prompting speculation from his agent that Dacourt's future may lie elsewhere.

"The fact that Roma haven't called us to extend his deal makes me think that Olivier's adventure with The Giallorossi will come to a close at the end of this season," Giorgio de Giorgis told Guerin Sportivo.

Should Roma decide not to renew Dacourt's contract it would undoubtedly place a number of clubs on alert. Bolton and Arsenal have both considered making a bid for the midfielder, while Lyon have already held talks about signing him as a replacement for Michael Essien.

I wouldn't say Oli has struggled to make an impression. He's been in the team since he joined and has worked hard for the club, i'd like him to stay actually.

Roma are inept when it comes to resigning players it seems

I admire him, he's a DM on a very offensive minded team, what do you expect. Last year is a write off for most Roma players in terms of performance.

Good solid midfielder.Would be a good addition to most squads, I'm suprised Roma want to let him go but I guess they want to give more faith to DeRossi-Aquliani?

That is exactly the reason. No use for him, and he probably doesn't want to be on the bench, and Roma don't want to pay him to sit on the bench.

Default Roma eye Di Michele

http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?h...eye+Di+Michele

Quote:
Udinese striker David Di Michele could be set for a January move to Roma.

The 29-year-old striker's agent has confirmed that the Giallorossi are keen admirers of his client and that a January switch may be on the cards.

It is still unclear whether or not Roma will be offloading Antonio Cassano during the winter transfer window but, if they do, Di Michele would be a prime candidate to replace him at the Stadio Olimpico.

The fleet-footed former Salernitana hit-man was recently involved in a dressing room dust-up with Zebrette manager Serse Cosmi after he was substituted during October's UEFA Champions League clash with Werder Bremen.

Now he may be set for a return to the city where he began his career in 1993 with AS Cisco Lodigiani.

Di Michele has previously expressed his desire to join a bigger club and it is thought that Udinese would consider offers in the region of €12 million (£8 million).
