amusing how the english papers arent saying football will die as a result of roma's transfer "mysteries", but chelsea get seen allegedly doing things every other club does all over the world at almost all times and football is sold to the devil.

Dellas linked with Celtic
http://www.teamtalk.com/teamtalk/New...544478,00.html
Greece defender Traianos Dellas is hoping Celtic will offer him the chance to play in the Champions League.
The Roma player, who won Euro 2004 with his country last year, is the subject of interest from the Hoops, according to his agent, Maurizio Tonicchi.
Tonicchi told the Evening Times: "I have spoken to Peter Lawwell and Celtic are interested in Dellas.
"We are at the stage where we want to get things done soon because it is important the player knows his team-mates and has a chance to train before the season gets going.
"I understand that Celtic have two qualifiers to play if they are to get to the Champions League group stages and this is something Dellas is also aware of.
"There is interest in him from Germany and France, but his main priority is that he goes to a club who will be playing in Europe."

Lima and Placente to AS Roma?
http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...ia/jun28j.html
Francisco Lima and Diego Placente should complete their moves to Roma by Friday, but Udinese say they’ve received no official bid for David Pizarro.
“On Friday I will meet with the Roma directors to discuss Lima’s move,” confirmed agent Antonio Stina’. “It will be an easy negotiation process and could be tied up within five minutes, because Lima loves this city and the club needs him.”
It would be a glorious return to the capital for the 34-year-old Brazilian midfielder, who spent three campaigns at Roma and has been wildly successful at Lokomotiv Moscow this season, even picking up an award as Russia’s Player of the Year.
“Currently he earns £1m per season in Russia and would be prepared to take a pay-cut, even if he is very happy in Moscow,” continued his representative. “He knows his weaknesses and is constantly working to improve himself. Lima is doing so well that I expect a call for international duty.”
Friday could also be the decisive moment for Diego Placente, who is out of contract with Bayer Leverkusen and has already been in negotiations for a free transfer to Roma.
The main issue concerns his wage demands of £1m compared to the Giallorossi’s £700,000 offer for a three-year contract.
Another of Roma’s well-known transfer targets is David Pizarro, who has made it clear he’d love to work with Coach Luciano Spalletti again. However, it seems all the talk is being done in the newspapers.
“Up until now we have not received any official bids for Pizarro,” explained Udinese director general Pietro Leonardi. “We’re glad he’s a popular player because that means we have a talented man in our squad and do not believe £10m is an excessive price-tag. We are an ambitious club and do not intend to give away our stars.”

Everton in for Ferrari
http://skysports.planetfootball.com/...el=premiership
Everton are discussing a move for Roma defender Matteo Ferrari.
The Toffees, buoyed by their qualification for the UEFA Champions League, have earmarked the Italian stopper as a potential recruit this summer.
It is believed that Ferrari would be interested in leaving Roma after a disappointing campaign with the Giallorossi, and a new experience in The Premiership is likely to appeal to the 25-year-old.
The Algeria-born centre back joined Roma last summer from Parma along with coach Cesare Prandelli but his problems started after the manager resigned his position.
According to Italian sources, Roma are awaiting an official offer from Goodison Park and expect to receive between €4 million and €5 million for the player.
It is anticipated that the matter could be quickly resolved if the Serie A side manage to agree a fee with Toffees boss David Moyes busy trying to bolster his backline.

Dellas set for capital switch?!!!
http://www.channel4.com/sport/footba...lia/jul8c.html
Traianos Dellas could be on the verge of the unthinkable by swapping Roma for city rivals Lazio.
The Greek international is now a free agent and his representative has confirmed that the Biancocelesti are keen.
"I can confirm that there is an interest," Maurizio Tonicchi told Radio Incontro.
"It is only right that we, having acted correctly towards his former club (Roma), pursue this option should an offer follow."
The capital side are looking to sign the Euro 2004 winner given that the club, who are still struggling financially, will not have to pay a fee.
"It is our plan to hold a meeting with Lazio President Claudio Lotito next week," continued Tonicchi.
"Traianos isn’t primarily concerned with money, after all, he turned down a good offer from Besiktas.
"He is more interested in playing for a prestigious club and one with a project for the future. Lazio fit the bill and Dellas is already happy in the city of Rome."
Dellas, formerly of Perugia, has also been linked with Rangers, Celtic and Bolton amongst many others.

Its really hard to tell, who still has it, or who doesn't, as that Roma defense was just plain awful.

They Will Stay!!!!!!!
Top Trio Will Remain, Sparks Spalletti
7/18/2005 8:27:00 PM
The new Giallorossi manager believes the Roman triumvirate of Cristian Chivu, Amantino Mancini and Antonio Cassano will remain in the capital.
Luciano Spalletti gave up the Champions League football he helped former club Udinese achieve for the tough task of rebuilding the fallen giants.
He is steadfast in his belief that the three stars will remain and fight the Roman cause. "Cassano will stay. That was the feeling I had when I signed. The club can’t offer me certain guarantees but I believe he will stay, as will Mancini and Chivu.”
"If anyone of them did leave, because of an enticing offer, then we will look for players of similar calibre to replace them."
This, as we already know, is going to be rather difficult if the club's transfer ban is not lifted, a problem Spalletti accepts."I have a good squad but the embargo (which is currently under appeal) is limiting us" .
"Nevertheless, this remains a team full of important players and we can go on even without new additions."
"My players need to think about resolving certain things that went wrong last year," he continued.
"We need to work hard on the pitch. If you don’t run, you don’t get the ball and without the ball you don’t score…"
He has also publicly underlined the dissatisfaction with missing out on the playmaker he helped to develop at the Friuli, Chilean David Pizarro."The lack of his arrival will be felt but I want to again underline that we have a good group of players here."
This is some good news at last!! although us having pizzaro would have ben great and surley placente would have came but damn that transfer ban!!!!!!!!!!! but i believe we still have a fighting chance for the top

TAS descion will be on Friday, it's taken so long to sort it out.
I hope Spalletti is right, i'm not going to get any hopes up as this is only what he thinks and he doesn't seem to have anything concrete. And after the way cassano was treated by some of the fans then he might be convinced to go.

I've heard mention of Patrice Evra & Di Michele coming into Roma. Has anyone heard anything about this?
