Rodrigo Taddei is officially a Roma player after he signed a five-year deal with the club on Friday.
The Brazilian arrives at the Stadio Olimpico on a free transfer after his contract with Siena expired.
The classy winger was already associated with the Giallorossi last summer but the move stalled at the last minute.
Taddei will remain with the capital side until 2010 and will earn £1.25m before tax in his first campaign.
The South American will then net himself £1.6m for the remaining four years of his contract.
Taddei opted for a move to Roma despite also being monitored by both Juventus and Internazionale.

Great choice, he said he chose Roma because of their great history of having brazilian players. It was only last month I was complaining we didn't have enough brazilians and if Mancini stays then we'll have 2 again. Although I hope Taddei is more like the legends that have graced the shirt and less like... Lima (or Emerscum- good player, evil person) |

should have come last summer but something happened which meant he didn't then Siena refused to play him for 6 months.

Roma’s new signing Rodrigo Taddei has given his first statement since joining the Giallorossi on a free transfer.
“I am convinced that with the right humility I can help a squad that is already competitive,” said the former Siena midfielder. “I thank the Sensi family for concluding the deal.”
Taddei had been linked with the club since last summer, but Siena refused to release him and kept him on the sidelines for six months as punishment.
His contract expires this month and he has penned a five-year deal with Roma that is worth £1.17m for the first season and £1.5m from the second onwards.
“I can say that joining this side is a dream come true, one that I have had within me for many years,” added Taddei.
“Roma are a club with a strong following in Brazil for its history and all the wonderful Selecao stars who wore its jersey.”
25-year-old midfielder Taddei joined Siena from Palmeiras in 2002 and has scored 14 goals in 74 League appearances between Serie A and B.
