Roma consider Klaas action Tuesday 23 September, 2008

Former Roma player and transfer consultant Alberto Faccini has revealed that the Giallorossi have requested information on Klaas Jan Huntelaar.

Dutch hitman Huntelaar has been repeatedly linked with a switch to the Eternal City over the last 12 months.

No deal was negotiated with the 25-year-old's club Ajax during the summer, but Roma could make an approach in January, as they still seem to lack attacking options.

“I spoke to Lupi sporting director Daniele Pradè and he asked me for information on the player,” Faccini told Power Station.

“There hasn't been an offer or any concrete request from Roma for the player, but I'm sure Huntelaar will weigh up the offers during the winter.

“He could move in January, but at the moment Ajax are taking some time to consider their options.

“Huntelaar would be useful to Roma. For example, in their Champions League game against CFR Cluj they brought on Vincenzo Montella and, with all due respect, he doesn't have Klaas Jan's characteristics.

“However, we must remember that it wouldn't be an easy transfer, not least because Real Madrid are still interested in him.”

if some how we can snatch him like we did on menez, then if we can put a big ass buyout clause il be happy.

so he comes here plays a few seasons before the big fishes come to bite the bait.by the time sell him we could have get a very good amount for him

Mutu still on Roman radar Monday 29 September, 2008

There are renewed rumours linking Fiorentina striking star Adrian Mutu with Roma.

The Romanian international was on the brink of a switch to the Eternal City this summer but the Tuscans refused to accept nearly £20m for their prized asset.

However, there are rumours that when Mutu signed his latest four-year deal, there was a secret agreement with the club that he would be allowed to leave next summer.

According to La Nazione, Mutu's future will follow a similar course to that of former hero Luca Toni, who ignored a number of suitors in the summer of 2006 before leaving for Bayern Munich a year later.

Mutu has struggled to get going this term and his efforts have been eclipsed by new boy Alberto Gilardino.

If Fiorentina see Gila as capable of shouldering the goal-scoring burden, they may be willing to let Mutu leave if the price is right.

some how wth all the fuss wth jose, inter and adriano, i think this would be a very good chance for us to get him on the cheap.

he is not young nor really a hot shot but given the condition we are in, i bet we can use him.

same challenge he gets at inter, the only difference we wont be in the scudetto race but the rest we are i the same boat as inter.

only problem might be wages, and his discipline.

No Mirko for Madrid, Bronzetti says Wednesday 19 November, 2008

FIFA agent Ernesto Bronzetti has rubbished reports that Real Madrid are planning to pounce for Roma marksman Mirko Vucinic.

The Merengues are looking for a replacement for the injured Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

Real are expected to raid the peninsula for Inter hitman Hernan Crespo, but Vucinic has also been linked with a Bernabeu switch.

“This alleged interest from Real for Vucinic is pure fantasy,” respected agent and transfer middleman Bronzetti said on Forzaroma.info.

“Madrid are just after Crespo and then they will swoop for another big name at the end of the season.

“Vucinic wouldn't be eligible to play in the Champions League now because he is cup-tied and Real would have problems registering him because he is from a non-EU country.”

Montenegro international Vucinic played over 100 games for Lecce before joining Roma in 2006.

Roma are 'offered Nilmar' Friday 28 November, 2008

There are reports that Roma could steal Brazilian striker Nilmar from under the noses of Palermo and Genoa, if they are willing to let Cicinho go.

Nilmar has been a target for Palermo for months and nearly joined the Rosanero last summer.

However, there are rumours that Genoa are ready to battle for the Internacional marksman's signature and Roma could throw their hat into the ring.

According to Romagiallorossa.com, Internacional have approached Roma and offered to exchange Nilmar for Cicinho.

Brazilian international Cicinho has struggled for the Lupi this term, but the capital club seem keen to keep him and have allegedly insisted he won't be leaving unless they receive money as well as Nilmar.

This demand may prove to be a decisive stumbling block, as Internacional rate their 24-year-old ace very highly and don't have a huge amount of capital at their disposal
