The agent of Julio Baptista insists that the Brazilian star will only join Roma in a permanent switch, as a loan deal is impossible.

The Real Madrid man is believed to be the Giallorossi’s primary target as they look to strengthen their front line ahead of next season’s Scudetto push.

However, there is yet to be a concrete approach and talk of a loan deal seems to be unrealistic.

“For the moment nobody from Roma has contacted me and I haven’t spoken to Real Madrid,” representative Herminio Menendez told Centro Suono Sport.

“I only know what Spanish newspaper Marca says and that is that two Roma officials are expected in Madrid to talk to the Merengues.

“A transfer for Baptista is possible if Real agree but a loan is impossible. Only a permanent sale is possible and I don’t know what the fee would be

ok...i dont understand why we want him on loan, or is it we want to buy him by taking him on loan and when next season we have enough money safed we buy him.

Roma stopper Cicinho insists that Brazilian striker Julio Baptista is desperate to join the Giallorossi.

Real Madrid forward Baptista has become Roma’s primary transfer target, but there are fears that the Merengues’ valuation could be a stumbling block.

While the two sides of the deal continue to hold firm, Cicinho is adamant that his compatriot can’t wait to join him in the Eternal City.

“We met when we were on holiday in Brazil,” the Selecao man told the Corriere dello Sport.

“We spent a great day together and we only spoke about one thing – Roma. He asked me all about the city, the team and the fans.

“He knows that there is great passion here and a team that can win the Champions League.

“Baptista remembers Roma from the Bernabeu last term and he remembers a strong side.”

The player’s agent has revealed that a loan deal would not be acceptable to Real Madrid and that Roma will have to find the cash for a permanent deal.

The transfer is likely to take place on the condition that the Lupi are willing to part with around £10m.

above £16m, no chance, if we had that kind of money we can own baptista for £11m and add up a few more and get a go for mouluda as well.thats 2 players compared to 1.

one thing we should remember is a player bcomes a star wth his own effort.even an unknown player will be up there if he works for it.i rather create one then be like real bastards who only poach and unsettle successful players.

exactly, i really didnt understand if we had that kind of money why the hell we dont go all out for a younger more promising talents that have emerged in the peninsula??
