The Scudetto is overrated...The Coppa Italia is the cup to win lol

Congratulations to AS Roma and all the Roma tifosi, all over the world, no matter where they are.
Great season, and worthy champions. In my opinion, its not by chance that Roma and Inter have met the last four years or so in this. Its because for the first time in a long time, these big clubs take it seriously.
And I think the format is better now. The single winner take all is better. And Coppa is better off for it.

The Giallorossi saw Inter kill off their Scudetto dream last weekend, but they hit back to beat the champions 2-1 yesterday to lift the Cup.
It may be scant consolation for the disappointment of missing out on the biggest prize in calcio, but Roma supremo Sensi was delighted to win the Coppa Italia for the ninth time.
“This is an very important achievement because it is as deserved as the Scudetto,” she declared on Rai.
“It was a huge victory that was what we completely merited and it is an objective that so many others never reach.”
Gifted tactician Spalletti was also keen to celebrate after retaining the trophy.
“This success shows that the team are working in a certain way and that we have a great club behind us,” he beamed.
“We are professionals and we are moving forward with an important project, which will see us lift some silverware every so often.
“Inter and Roma are the two sides who have shown their value the most throughout the campaign and it was only right that they should contest this Final.”

dave thanks for the thread, been a bit busy celebrating  .
1st off united lifting the cl, and then i was back in rome celebrating roma wth the cup!! 
it was hell celebration last night personnaly for me.lets hope next season it will more of the same but this time roma will do the double!!

You went to celebrate Duke...how was it? After losing the Scudetto, this Coppa meant a lot to us Romanisti. We were all depressed after last weekend and it's nice to have something to smile about regarding Roma.

it was fantastic in a way to beat them again and again i know some might say this is just a minor cup and inter doesnt care but mainly imo we won, a cup is a cup and a victorious roma is always special!!
it does give a bit of solace after the scudetto, but this coppa will make us even hungrier for next season to push fro the scudetto AND to retain our lovely coppa again
