Vucinic on for Giuly with 15 min to go. Looks like Totti will likely play the remainder of the game.

nding game come the 2nd leg we will be out for sure.
catania will destroy us.we better take chances that come our way seriously or we will left to rue every thing.the scudetto is out of reach so coppa is to be taken very seriously as we could face inter wch is a far more formidable side thi season.

I'm very confident that Roma will progress from this round. Roma have an advantage heading into the next leg and unless Roma have a complete meltdown, i say they will progress. But, they still need to be sharp.

Zenga sets Coppa challenge
Tuesday 6 May, 2008
Walter Zenga has warned Roma that his Catania side will not give up on a place in the Coppa Italia Final until the last second.
The Sicilians are trailing 1-0 from the first leg and play the Giallorossi on Thursday at the Stadio Massimino.
“We will honour this game with a great deal of effort and try to reach the Final,” said the Coach.
“Whoever steps on to the field will have the responsibility of representing a team and a city, so they must challenge all the way.”
It could be considered an inconvenience at a time when Catania are battling against relegation, but reaching the Final could be enough to send them into the UEFA Cup.
This is because Inter are already qualified for the Champions League, though if Lazio beat them on Wednesday to reach the Final, the UEFA spot will only go to the trophy winner.
“I don’t want to make calculations, as if we start thinking of all the various elements then we’ll get nowhere.
“We have to focus on ourselves, without giving up, so we can get our results and keep playing the way we have been.”
Zenga, who took over from boss Silvio Baldini last month, was disappointed on Sunday with a 2-1 home defeat to fellow relegation strugglers Reggina.
“In the games since I arrived we have an average of two goals per encounter, which isn’t bad. Against Reggina their goalkeeper was Man of the Match, we did all we could.”

hoho he is up to it and this is the cup we can pin our season on.we need to be tip top as the away goal will sure take us far.

DDR was really poor.Very sloppy and tired.Vucinic got extremely tired near the end too.
Bright side We;re through and Aquilani just oozes class.Casseti was a mistake at CB but he held his own when the pressure came.
Onwards to the final.

Pretty decent game...i thought Antunes played well considering he hasn't played in a while. Giuly was extremely disappointing...countless give aways of possession. Esposito was terrible...he has to go.
Getting tired of Roma vs Inter in the Coppa....but Roma better take revenge if they lose the Scudetto and win the Coppa for the fans.

same here.i was looking for a derby final.it would be icing on the 2nd spot if we can smear some lazio trash in our home, but i guess winning it against inter would do for now.
also the season ends tiredness is creeping in lets hope we could have a better looking squad come the final.no point fielding the 1st team in the league games as inter will surely wont loose it and im not going of chasing it while we could loose the coppa final at the same time.better 1 then none.
