Roma have officially announced the signing of Portuguese Under-21 star Vitorino Antunes as fellow youngster Aleandro Rosi heads to Chievo.

The Giallorossi put the finishing touches to a loan deal on Thursday morning after the bulk of the negotiations had been completed on Wednesday.

Antunes arrives from Pacos Ferreira for a season loan with the capital club being offered the option to make the deal permanent for around £750,000.

The promising wing-back is ready to sign a five-year deal if the Magica decide to prolong his stay in the Eternal City.

Meanwhile, midfield starlet Aleandro Rosi leaves the Stadio Olimpico to spend the campaign on loan to Serie B outfit Chievo.

Rosi made his Serie A debut against the Flying Donkeys in 2005, but has struggled to find a place in Luciano Spalletti's plans.

He will now learn his trade in the Cadetti, despite his reported reluctance to move to the Stadio Bentegodi.

So this is a loan move for both Antunes and Rosi?

Rosi needed more playing time...he wasn't being utilized what so ever at Roma. Glad he will play every match for the Flying Donkeys.

I dont know to much about the kid, but roma has been right on with its moves this summer so this guy has to be pretty good as well

This guy was the revelation player last season playing for Paços de Ferreira, the team with the smallest budget in the league and that got a place in the Uefa Cup for this season.

Antunes is a very good player. Good tackling, decent marking, good on the ball, great going forward and have a cannon left foot. Scored 3 goals on free kicks last season.
