There's 14419 Signatures Total at the moment. These petitions don't mean anything...but shows that some fans are getting frustrated with Roma's financial situation.

Soros 'gives up on Giallorossi' Tuesday 29 April, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reports in the peninsula suggest that businessman George Soros has given up on his bid to take over Roma.
In recent months there have been regular rumours that the Sensi family are ready to sell their stake in the Giallorossi because their parent company Italpetroli are suffering from financial troubles.
Italpetroli have debts totalling around £290m and could relieve the pressure by retracting their interest in the Lupi.
Rosella Sensi seemed to be preparing to put down the reigns amd American tycoon Soros had admitted his desire to succeed her.
However, reports in Il Messaggero suggest that Soros has been put off by the asking price.
And UniCredit, who own 49 per cent of Italpetroli, have denied that they intend to instigate the sale of Roma.
“We are a concerned spectator and nothing more,” a spokesman insisted. “The Sensi family will make decisions over a possible sale and they have complete freedom to do so.”
Roma’s fans will await developments anxiously with the future direction of the club as yet unclear.

I don't necessarily believe it yet...seems as if the majority of the Sensi family wants to sell, but Rosella doesn't. These takeovers are difficult when you're dealing with a £300m company. I'm sure in a few weeks things will settle themselves out.

It's just the way the process goes...you can't turn a complete 180 in a matter of days when your discussing purchasing a 300m Euro club...

Reports in Rome say that Soros is far from done and that he's waiting on the Sensi's to make an offer to him .
Also the deal was that Rosella would stay on for a year with an offer to extend if the team does well...but we wont know until the season is done for sure.It would be madness to switch owners while the season is still going.

These rumours started months ago...Azzurri started this thread in March, but i was tracking this story from February. It's never a godo thing to discuss takeovers in the middle of the season. Not good for the players and the workers at Roma. Everyones job is in jeopardy. From the management officials to players to the ball boys. Not good for team morale.

Poor Rosella...having to travel with security for protection. Guess fans are upset with her bc she doesn't want the team to be sold...where many fans want a new owner.
