6ft isn't bad, in fact it's great for a central midfielder.

He's well built as well which helps.

He used to be a striker don't forget.

I asked Joel the same question about DDR. He does seem small on tv, but he's actually tall. Pizarro is a shorty though...awkwardly short compared to everyone else.

Roma midfield starlet Alberto Aquilani believes that the Giallorossi have closed the gap on Inter despite the sale of Cristian Chivu.

Despite enjoying an impressive season, the Stadio Olimpico outfit were left trailing the Nerazzuri by a staggering 22 points last term.

Having sold key defender Chivu to the Beneamata this summer, it has been suggested that there is an increasing gulf between the champions and the chasing pack, but Aquilani doesn’t agree.

“We have an unchanged squad except that we have lost Cristian and brought in some important players,” he insisted. “We weren’t much worse than them last year, but we will get even closer this season.”

The two sides will come face to face in the Italian Super Cup on August 19 as Roma look to erase memories of 2006’s 4-3 extra-time defeat in a game they had led 3-0, with Aquilani bagging a brace.

“I have sweet and sour memories of the game,” the 23-year-old grinned ruefully. “At the end of the first half I was the happiest person in the world, but at the end I was the saddest.

“Now we have a great chance for redemption and the experience can help us.

"As for long-term hopes, I want to stay here in Rome and show my ability – this will be a decisive campaign.”

Ive been saying that all along and people doubt me...now he says it and everyones on board! haha...hes right though, weve lost chivu but we have strengthed a little bit in all our weak areas except for GK...and with more competetive teams this year and Juve back inter arent going to win as many games so itll make the title race alot closer between the top 2 teams

Ya, it will be close. And Aquilani will play a key role. Let's hope he plays well enough to maybe earn a starting spot. Pizarro will ge tthe boot in that case.
