Then drop Perrotta? Unless Roma get a serious striker like Gomes or Suazo...then i would play Totti behind one striker. Roma's strength is it's midfield...they need to utilize that as much as possible.

We've seen Roma become "too cute" in the offencive area...i want someone to blast the ball when they hit the box and not look for a fancy flick or through ball.

Bc they've had Totti who finished with 26 2 years ago...now that Totti is more injury prone and slowing down...they need to invest in support for him. I don't think Totti can handle 40-50 games a year alone.

more scared then cheap, but its both.they cant see past their debt and chickening out to make an investment that will pay them back.look at united, they are successful but still have a huge debt then roma, same goes to real.roma needs the bold to survive now and sensi's are in short supply of that.

valid but again its a big gamble selling a club wth a long tradition of doing things.

an injection of funds coupled wth a better then the current management will sure take us places.but often to get that precise "marriage" is difficult but all together our future isnt that dark also.ive seen roma go trough even rougher periods and we can still held our head high.

Aquilani to commit to Roma

The agent of Roma star Alberto Aquilani expects the midfielder to sign a new deal with the Giallorossi, as any chance of a move to Juventus fades.

Aquilani is one of the brightest prospects in Italian football and is currently with the Italy squad at Euro 2008.

While he is seen as a foundation block for the future of Roma, the 23-year-old has been reluctant to commit himself to the Lupi, prompting interest from Inter, Arsenal and Juventus.

However, now the Old Lady seem set to sign Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso instead and Aquilani is almost certain to stay put.

“I expect Alberto to extend his contract after Euro 2008,” agent Franco Zavaglia explained. “He grew up at this club and he strongly wants to stay here.

“In recent times there have been things that have annoyed the lad and in that case it is better not to speak much and to give few interviews.”

Aquilani is already under contract at the Stadio Olimpico until 2010.

even if don has no trust on his talents roma do, good to hear he is ready now lets just put ink to paper

Aquilani wants first team action...maybe the possible change in formation will allow him to get a starting spot. There were already offers of like 15-20m from Juve etc...imagine when he hits full potential.

Juve have a gem in Palladino sitting on the bench acting as a water boy, then playing him. He's kind of in the same boat as Aquilani, both should be starting every week, but sit on the bench.
