Andreolli hasnt even played. And we own only half of his rights. In the end we got Juan + 10 mill + full ownership of Pizarro for Chivu.I think it was very nice.

Lets do the same with Mancini.Wouldnt mind Sebation Giovonco (sp? too tired to check lol ).

For curiosity...i searched the Roma forum and found the financial details to the contracts.

Roma paid Inter £4.1m for the full ownership of Pizarro.

For Chivu Roma got £9m and Roma paid €1.5m for half of Andreolli ownership. Which was originally €7 /2 = €3.5, but Inter took off €2.

And it's Giovinco....I wasn't too tired to search lol.

best way to squeeze out more money from mancini is not selling to our own stingy italian brothers but outsiders.

the dippers might cough out more for him and i do hope he moves out and we can cash on.

Juventus failed in a cash plus player offer for Roma’s rising star Alberto Aquilani, reports in Italy claim.

Stories in Italy on Thursday are suggesting that the Old Lady made contact with the capital giants around two months ago, but were unsuccessful in tempting the Giallorossi to do business.

It’s understood that the Bianconeri were prepared to part with £11m and Vincenzo Iaquinta, but Roma didn’t bite.

The Giallorossi consider the Italian international as a star of the future and he will, in all probability, be offered a new contact. His present deal expires in 2010.

Having been knocked back by the Sensi family who control Roma, Juventus have now switched their attention to Liverpool’s Xabi Alonso.

Although the 23-year-old Aquilani is staying, Amantino Mancini does look like he will be heading for the exit.

The Brazilian has yet to agree terms on a new contract and the club will sell rather than risk losing him on a free transfer in 2009.

Barcelona, Juventus and Inter have been associated with the former Venezia flop who is set to be replaced in Rome by Antonio Di Natale of Udinese.

Iaquinta and £11m...hmm that's a decent offer. Maybe Roma isn't too interested n Iaquinta after all.....or they don't want to lose Alberto.

Why can't Juve make the same offer for Mancini!!!!!

To be fair what we've reportedly offered is in excess of £20m, not bad if you ask me.

Haven't heard much from Cerci recently...he was lighting it up early in the season.

It's nice to see Aquilani and De Rossi as "Untouchables" for Roma. Maybe Roma can pursued Juve to take Mancini.

Aquilani looks to future Tuesday 27 May, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Roma midfield ace Alberto Aquilani insists that he isn’t thinking about leaving the Giallorossi and expects to renew his contract this summer.

The homegrown talent has been watched by several of Europe’s top teams and is currently with Roberto Donadoni’s squad as they prepare for Euro 2008.

Despite interest from elsewhere and a reported bid from Arsenal, Aquilani expects to pen an extension with Roma once his trip to Austria and Switzerland is over.

“I am a Roma player until 2010,” he stressed.

“I have always said that I am a Roman and a Roma fan and that I want to stay here, but it takes two to draw up a contract.

“I don’t think that there will be any problems with a renewal and at the age of 24 I know that my future is with Roma.

“I have thought of leaving the club on very few occasions and it would be very difficult for me. In the past I had the chance to go abroad, but I didn’t do it.”

There is uncertainty over whether Roma will continue to be owned by the Sensi family or will be bought up by a foreign investor.

“I am very closely bound to the Sensi family as I grew up with them,” Aquilani explained.

“I don’t know what the club’s future is, but even if the Sensi family have to leave I think they will be happy if things look bright for the club.”

Nice words from Buffon...

Quote:
Buffon hails Aquilani
Tuesday 27 May, 2008

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon has backed Italy teammate Alberto Aquilani to be one of the best in the world.

The Bianconeri star spoke about his dream to see the Roma youngster play for Juventus one day, although he believes the Giallorossi won't let him go easily.

“Alberto can become the best central midfielder in the world,” insisted the former Parma 'keeper.

“Xabi Alonso or Aquilani to join Juve? They are two different players, but the age is important. The Romanista is young and potentially the best in Europe, or even in the world.”
