Ya, so i guess he's injured. Damn. At least Aquilani can fill the role until Pizarro comes back.

Yeah Pizarro is out till October I think. Aquilani displayed a professional game against Inter 2 days ago. Classy game and player.

Quote:
Aquilani: We can win it
Tuesday 21 August, 2007
Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani is in a buoyant mood after the Giallorossi’s Super Cup triumph and believes the capital club are true challengers.
Luciano Spalletti’s side beat Inter at the San Siro on Sunday and gained sweet revenge for last season’s 4-3 defeat in a game they had led 3-0.
Although the Nerazzurri turned in a lackluster performance and Roma needed a penalty to clinch the silverware, Aquilani was jubilant after the game and sees a three-horse title race.
“We are a really strong side,” the young star enthused. “This year we are on a level with Milan and Inter and we have luck at the San Siro as we have won two trophies there in three months.”
The 23-year-old Roman’s mood was still more euphoric after news that he had been selected in Roberto Donadoni’s Azzurri squad for the August 22 friendly against Hungary.
“I didn’t expect to be chosen even with Daniele De Rossi and Simone Perrotta out. Now I’ve got to be ready for this chance,” he grinned.
Aquilani is likely to play between Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Gattuso in the role usually played by Perrotta, with Donadoni expected to choose a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Ya, he has to take advantage here and earn his spot. Injuries are a part of sports, and if Aquilani impresses during Pizarro's absence...then theirs a great chance that Pizarro/Aquilani can be a 1 and 1-A starters. Meaning Pizarro will be subbed for Aquilani every match.

Pizarro is a better handler of the ball in his own area though...Aquilani is better offensively. So, i don't know. Who ever plays best, deserves the spot. We have healthy competition at many positions. Besides a few spots.

Alberto Aquilani
Aquilanti, the brilliant player, will be the replacement of totti in the coming few years. Two watchable and tremendous goals in the first two matches which helped Rome promoting to the 2nd of the series A. It seems that Rome will be a big challenge for the champion despite none of any big football stars joining its.
Especially in the defence of rome, all the defenders perform excellently, particular mexes and de rossi. they are desperate to defend the opponents for fear not to be scored.
A strong desire to be won the champion this season, but the season is not easy to run relaxedly as it seems that Series A is as passion as EPL.
How about your comments to the topic ??????????

His name is Aquilani, no "T". But he's a tremendous talent. Very technically gifted and very good with his feet. He's not at the Totti level yet, and may never get there. But he's great. Especially bc he was playing a DM role.

Haha idk if aquilani will be tottis replacement but i think he is going to be with the team for a long time and be very important to this club now and for many years to come...totti and aquilani are two completley different players...and postions as well...Totti is more AM striker and Alberto is more DM MF...totti likes to be up in the middle and push him way into the box for a snap kick into the back of the net, alberto likes to shoot from outside and bend it over the keeper...both great players and great future players for roma but not a replacement
