Roma have been active in the transfer window, but not signing good, new players. Juan was the biggest signing. Esposito...not bad i guess. Have to add Burusso as well.
Quote:
IN:
Alvarez (M, Messina)
Brighi (M, Chievo)
Adrian Pit (M, Bellinzona)
Cassetti (blind auction)
Pizarro from Inter (full own)
Signed Juan from Bayer Leverkusen £4.5m
Signed Vucinic for £5m
Mauro Esposito signs in co-own deal £2.5m

Ya, either Quagliarella or Di Natale would of been nice. But that's life. Every time i see Quagliarella next season, i am going to think what if....

Taddei: Rome’s where the heart is Tuesday 15 January, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Roma winger Rodrigo Taddei remains enamoured with the Giallorossi and hopes for a glorious future in the Eternal City.
The former Siena star has been a consistent performer for the capital club since his arrival at the Stadio Olimpico in 2005 and was part of the side that saw off Atalanta 2-1 last Sunday.
Although Taddei admits that it is hard to see Inter’s seven-point lead disintegrating, he believes that the Lupi are a team to be feared.
I don’t talk about the Scudetto so that I don’t jinx it, but I’m not sure that the powers that be will allow us that joy this year anyway,” the 27-year-old told the Guerin Sportivo.
“As a club, Roma has the characteristics of a championship side in the DNA and we will try and play our part.
“But we deserve respect in the Champions League, even if we are lacking a bit of European experience.
“Against Lyon last year they were laughing at us before the game, but we did the talking on the pitch.”
Rome has a special place in Taddei’s heart and it seems unlikely that he will accept a move away from the city of the seven hills in the near future.
“Rome for me is the Earthly Paradise – the cradle of ambitions,” the articulate forward continued. “I love Roman life and have even adopted the dialect in my daily life.
“Nonetheless, it is difficult to say whether I’ll be here for the rest of my career, as you never know in football.
“Even marriages that last for years can end badly, but I hope that isn’t the case. Roma is more like a wife than a lover so you obviously hope to stay together for as long as possible.”
As he possesses an Italian passport and is yet to represent his native Brazil, Taddei has been tipped for a place in Roberto Donadoni’s squad for Euro 2008, but he has ruled out any involvement in Austria and Switzerland.
“I want to thank Donadoni for the support he has shown for me, but I will continue to hope for the Selecao call out of respect for the Italian players trying to get a place in the side,” he insisted.
Taddei closed with a word on compatriot Amantino Mancini, whose future at the club is up in the air ahead of contract talks later this week.
“He is a Roma player and he has shown his dedication over the last few years,” he maintained. “His professionalism is beyond reproach. I hope that things work out well and he stays with the Giallorossi.”

Taddei bets on Roma title Sunday 6 April, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Even before Inter have kicked a ball against Atalanta, Rodrigo Taddei is “100 per cent” sure Roma will win the Scudetto.
He scored a goal and earned the decisive penalty in yesterday’s 3-2 victory over Genoa that closed the gap on the Serie A leaders to just one point.
“I say Roma will win the Scudetto, 100 per cent,” insisted the Brazilian in the Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Inter are a strong side and we’ll see what happens, but I can be certain we’ll push them right to the bitter end.”
Taddei has won the Coppa Italia and Italian Super Cup with the club since joining from Siena and is eager to add the Serie A title to his CV.
“I am very happy for the goal that broke the deadlock. We won a difficult match and were able to take home three points.
“Now we must continue to win all six remaining games and keep working hard.”
The Giallorossi have this morale booster going into Wednesday’s Champions League quarter-final with Manchester United.
The 2-0 home defeat in the first leg makes it extremely difficult for them to get back into this tie, but Roma now have the ‘benefit’ of having nothing to lose at Old Trafford.
However, Francesco Totti confessed that he will not recover from a thigh strain in time for the match.

Taddei has been making very bold statements as of late concerning Roma...but his actions on the field do not back up his comments. I have not been impressed with Taddei thus far this season and i feel Giuly has contributed much more.

He shouldn't get that confident after that goal he scored...it was basically a tap in that even i could of scored lol.
I would like to see Taddei back up his words and score in the Man Utd game. Otherwise, his words don't mean anything.

Roma play Udinese next, coming off the Man Utd game. So, they will be very lucky to take 3 points next match. At least Inter play Fiorentina as well so if we do lose points, hopefully they will as well.
