Do you think they would retire totti? It would be wierd for a club to retire a number 10 but...wouldnt you think if there was ever a player they would retire it would be totti?

Ya i agree, i don't think they will retired the #10. De Rossi should wear the #10 when Totti retires as a symbol to Totti. That is if De Rossi remains with Roma in the future!

What Totti has done for us is great...no one will ever repeat such a feat...not even De Rossi whose loyalty is now questionnable...

I agree Bludhaven. De Rossi's actions this week has caused some doubts over his loyalty to Roma. Let's hope it's just a tactic to earn more money. If so, we will all forget these allegations when he puts pen to paper and signs a new contract.

Also, De Rossi will never reach the milestones Totti has. He will always be a great player. Just won't produce the numbers that Totti has because of his position in midfield.

Absolutely, no one would dare confront him to wear that number. Not even if Ronaldinho came to Roma. Totti wouldn't give it up anyone. Maybe Pope, but that's it. Who do you think deserves to wear the #10 when Totti retires? De Rossi? Would be accept it?

No i agree with you, i think totti will wear number 10 until his legs fall off and he cant play anymore. Do i think they would take it away from him? No..Do i think anyone deserves it more? No...Would anyone accept it if offered...possibly but people woldnt be happy about it.

The only person who could wear the #10 is De Rossi. But i doubt he would wearit after Totti retires. Totti will remain for years to come, so we don't have to worry about that just yet. If Roma signed some foreigner player and they wanted to wear the #10...i honestly think the fans would boycott Roma until management send him on his way. Totti is a legend in Rome. Totti will have a seat in management when he retires, like Bruno Conte. So Totti will do the hiring and the firing.

I think Roma should consider retiring the number 10 shirt once Totti is gone, players like him don't come along very often.

I think so too...I mean we all know what the number 10 means to the football world, but thats what i was saying ealier....that if Roma were going to retire anyones number it would be totti. Regardless of the fact that he wore number 10 you know i think they should. Plus if no one is going to wear it out of respect for totti anyways why not make it official and give him that honour

They can't retire the number, because i guarantee that it will be used within the next 20 years! His name is Christian Totti

Roma should give something back to Totti and immortalise his number...i mean look, he has become an icon for Italy...a Roman icon...and Roma need to preserve him, their best ever product, whom they can proudly say that hes been a product of the youth team

Ya but by this time Totti could give permission to AS Roma to allow his son to use his jersey

It would be funny if Totti refused his son to wear the #10 Imagine a 50 year old Totti kicking Christian in the butt. "Papa, there goes your groin" haha.

Totti would be honored if his son wear the #10. What an emotional day that would be when his son first steps foot at the Stadio O wearing the #10. And gets a red card for being a hot head like his father
