Seriously...how can they lose so many players. Spalletti must be going mad.

well actually all we are doing is discarding all the dead weight wch doesnt even matter if we had them.
we had depth issues even when we had "those" guys so our problem isnt a new one coming from players leaving but and old one wch hasnt been solved as of yet.

Not just dead weight....we lost Mancini, Giuly soon...and have not brought in any replacements yet. Roma needed a striker regardless......so they have to replace these guys...i don't get it.

I don't think they will replace Mancini...just give Vucinic the ball and let him roll with it...but, they need to replace Giuly...we have no decent subs...Esposito doesn't count.

It would be nice...but, we won't get someone of his quality back in return...they will have to settle for a second teir player, yet again. A replacement is definitely necessary, but not holding my breath.

Spalletti stalls Okaka move Wednesday 30 July, 2008
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Roma boss Luciano Spalletti has derailed Stefano Chuka Okaka’s loan switch to Bologna.
The Under-19 international seemed all set for the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara yesterday and expressed his satisfaction at the chance to shine.
But now his agent has revealed that the move is off for the time being while the Giallorossi consider Okaka’s future.
“Stefano will stay at Roma for 15 or so days,” representative Domenico Scopelliti told Laromasiamonoi.it.
“There are several injuries in Spalletti’s squad and so Okaka could be useful.
“The Coach will let him know about his future within a fortnight. He clearly was very happy when it was suggested that he could stay.
“However, the move to Bologna isn’t out of the question. The boss will keep an eye on him and if there is a chance for regular football with the Lupi, Stefano will be very happy.”
Bologna are nervously waiting for news as they are in dire need of a striking addition after their promotion from Serie B.

im not against him seeking experience at the same time im not against him staying wth us either.
he could be useful but its up to him what to make of this opportunity.if he can give headaches to spalletti when squad selection, then we are one step closer to be giving a young striker his deserved chance.

I like this.I think he'll be the 3rd choice striker.although I feel he does need experience.let him stay with the team till january and if he is still wavering let him join on loan to Bologna. He'll get a good 6 months then come back and he'll be ready for a real super sub spot.

Given that you haven't signed a proven striker yet I can understand the thinking but at this age he needs to be getting games. Roma are notorious for holding players back and not using them to their full potential so if I were Okaka I wouldn't get too comfortable.
