Default [#89 ] Okaka: Stays at Roma.

Good idea...he played some Coppa Italia games this season and some Serie A i think...think he scored in Serie A as well....he;s 17 years old, needs to play in orde to get better. He's tall, strong, and fast...needs more playing time.

Roma to send Okaka away on-loan
tribalfooball.com - March 29, 2007

Roma are ready to send youngster Stefano Okaka away on-loan next season. Genoa are favourites to be offered the teenager, if they win promotion this term.

One thing i like about Roma, we give our kids a chance. Especially, 2 years ago when we finished seventh. We played, Alvarez, Corvia, Okaka, Virga, Curci...lot of young talent. Also Okaka is a striker so it's more difficult for him, because the pressure of scoring! Like you said Duke...hope he gets to play week in and week out!

Yeah, I remember him getting a couple of games in Europe.

A loan seems likely.

A loan deal would do Stefano the world of good, he needs first team football and I don't think he'll be getting that in the near future at the Olimpico especially if striking reinforcements are brought in during the summer.

Il Capitano.

Agreed. Nice player with what looks like some good potential, but I just don't see him playing regularly at Roma in the near future. A loan would be good for him.

Okaka would love the idea as well. Even though i'm sure he's learning from sitting on the sidelines watching Totti and co. work their magic!

Okaka has shown great potential in recent times for Roma...afterall, he did score against Siena this season, which made me proud our youngsters could help our future.

Since Stefano isnt going to get much experience here, because he's plain and simply out-muscled by our attacking options. We'll need to send him on loan for him to return with more experience, and even learn a new trick or two.

Which club do you think would be the best fit for him? Definitely a small club!

I think it's best to start him off in Serie B given his age etc.

I can't imagine any Serie A clubs playing him regularly.

20 years old...i would hate to see him demoted to B...even though he would play every week. He's been with us so long training/playing occasionally and has done a good job. Hope Roma send him to an A club. More for his confidence the anything!

We should see him then at a team that finishes between 11th - 16th...Siena, Cagliari, etc.
