Roma were the fools who signed him injured. He was months away from his first game when they signed him. So, Roma made the first error in signing an injured player...and Vucinic never settled in with the squad due to not playing regularly.

Ya i guess your right, but still a 20 goal scorer should at least be able to make a difference even as a sub player

He didn't play enough, it's as simple as that.
I still think he's got talent.

To be honest I feel like by the time Vucinic started playing at Roma, Roma was not quite sure what they wanted their attack to look like. This season Roma went from Montella, to the 4-6-0 "we don't need no stinkin' strikers, sorry Montella but a traditional striker doesn't fit with our system anymore", to... well, trying to reinstate a normal striker situation again. I think this kind of uncertainty could have had an adverse affect on the strikers' performances.

All Vucinic did for Roma this season was sub for Totti in the final 5-10 minutes of the game, or come on in addition to Totti if we trailed a goal. Otherwise, he was a bench warmer. If he wasn't coming off the injury, he would of made a difference with Roma. It's unfortunate that he didn't get as much time to prove his worth.

More on Genoa...
Quote:
Genoa Want Vucinic The Montenegro striker has failed to live up to expectations in his last season with Roma and will most likely not be confirmed by the Giallorossi for next year.
Genoa have made it clear that their main target for the forward line is Mirko Vucinic. Despite not having the best of seasons with Roma, Genoa still believe that the Montenegro attacker would fit perfectly in the new Rossoblu side that just won the promotion to Serie A.
Vucinic is currently owned by Lecce and was loaned out to Roma last season. However, his poor performances will most probably not award him any confirmation in Luciano Spalletti's squad and Lecce will be able to reclaim him back.
Genoa can therefore start negotiating with the Serie B outfit to sign the 24-year-old player who had done so well with Lecce especially during the 2004/05 season, where he scored 19 goals in 28 matches played.

Roma Sign Vucinic!!!
Quote:
Meanwhile, Roma have also confirmed that they have signed striker Mirko Vucinic on a permanent basis.
The youngster arrived on loan from Lecce last summer and the Italian giants have taken up their option to keep him by paying just over £5m.
The international has signed a contract with the Romans until 2011 and will see his wages gradually rise over the next four years from £1.1m to £1.5m a season.

I think you've done well here actually.
I mean despite his lack of goals last season he does have talent and if you play him often enough he'll prove his worth.

Possibly, I mean it isn't looking good for you so far in signing another striker.
