This is good in the long run i guess...if mirko gets better and better...I guess i forget sometimes that hes still pretty young...so hopefully he can continue to grow and increase his goal total as the years go on

He had a break out season this year...i have to compliment him. When Totti was out...he stepped up. When Mancini was a bum...Vucinic stepped up.
I think he's finally becoming the player he was before his injury.

well not at the moment we wanted and at the moment we needed but he did give them a scare and that was lovely.if only he can give it out on a regular basis then he will achieve cult status at the std O

He needs to have a solid next season...and thanks to the departure of Giuly and Mancini...he will get that chance. He's becoming a good striker and a good winger as well. Spalletti can transform anyone to play any position it seems.

He scored some important goals, I'll give him that.
But it wasn't quite a break out season in my opinon, he needs to score on a more regular basis.

Compared to his prior season of not making an impact what so ever...i would call it a break out season or at least the beginning of the transformation to his former self. With Mancini gone...Vucinic will have a larger role in the club and get the playing time he has waited for. Now, it's up to him to deliver. Vucinic makes less then 1m in salary...but i think he will get a new contract in the coming weeks.

His break out season was with Lecce when he scored 19 goals in 29 games.
I've yet to see that kind of form for Roma, even when he's had a decent run in the team.

totally wth joel on this point.if we can at least have him as an impact player i woudnt mind if he didnt score but he creates the options for others.that alone would make my day and our day.
since mancini would be leaving i can see him being a wonderful player for us as a winger that seems to give him more room to move, and spalletti has hit the target wth this one.
now all we need is another good wing and another forward to help the front department.

He's officially owned by Roma...
Quote:
Vucinic is 100 per cent Roma
Friday 20 June, 2008
Mirko Vucinic is 100 per cent property of Roma after the Giallorossi agreed a deal with Lecce.
The Montenegrin international hitman has been at Roma since August 2006, but newly promoted Lecce still owned half his rights.
It was inevitable that full possession of Vucinic would pass to the capital club and a fee of around £9m has been set.
So far the 24-year-old has scored nine goals in 33 appearances for Roma, but is still to show his full potential.
Roma have already recalled Vincenzo Montella and Alessio Cerci in the summer market and swooped for Liverpool defender John Arne Riise.
Last term’s runners-up are also being linked to Udinese’s Antonio Di Natale, Ajax star Klaas-Jan Huntalaar and Siena defender Simone Loria.

I think Vucinic is slowly coming back to his former self...he's no where close to the 19 goal man like 3-4 years ago...but, i think he got 9 goals last year and that's from playing wing/striker. So, hopefully next year he will have a dedicated role and contribute more.

I thought he got 11?Either way he was the only one in the last matchday to actually say "hey give me the ball and get the f*ck out the way" he scored it by going through 4 players while everyone else had a less then stellar game....even before Zlatan was introduced for inter and scoring 2.
I feel like he's a big game player...Real Madrid anyone or Sporting lisbon?....His knee is fully recovered and all thats left is his confidence to build back up which we're seeing game by game.
Dont forget. He set up quite a few goals too which takes away from his goal tally
