Yeah I read he played well.Alvarez came on for Totti when the game was done anyways.Mirko nearly scored but it was cleared off the line! cheeky lob by the Montenegrin!

I think Mirko would of had more power to the shot if the ball wasn't that high...it was awkward to hit it. But credit to him for trying. He even came back to defend as well...not a bad game for a striker playing as a midfielder.

Very versitile.Spaletti has mouled him to be a complete player. He may even get the start if Spaletti doesnt risk playing Mancini. But with Perrota comming back. That means Guily is being shifted to the left and taddie stays on the right. He'll be dropped I'm afraid.

Default #9 Mirko Vucinic

We can continue the vucinic talk here....

Im with dave though, I dont think that vucinic is performing...and after last year everyone including myself said "give him a chance he onyl needs some good playing time to come out of his shell and be that superstar that he was before his injury." Well we are nearly a quarter way through the season and he hasnt dont anything. Like i said hes always offside. The only thing hes been consistant at is fuckin up.

Am I the only one who remembers the last Parma game and how be basically spoon fed Totti for the goal. He's good.Give him time. Its not like we can get much better then Vucinic at this moment in time.

Thanks to whoever found the vucinic thread and merged them...i couldnt find it when i was looking for it.

But i have to agree with dave here..They need vucinic to score goals...they can get anyone they want to spoon feed passes to totti, but we need someone else up front tho can be consistant at putting the ball in the net.

Hero Fecking status is what I put Mirko as right now.Saved us against Sporting and now against Milan.Thats what a true finisher does.

Vucigol for president!

Nah,,,,your over reacting...your forgetting about the 5 misses he had before then...he got lucky and it was cicinho who was the hero of they day...vucinic just happened to be on the end of a good cross.

Had totti been in instead of vucinic we would have even been that close. Totti would have scored on a couple fo the shots vucinic missed, and made the PK that DDR missed..

Not mad at DDR though, he just tried to get to cute...thats not his type of PK. He tried a totti chip, when he should have just went with the power shot like he did in the World Cup

totally agree wth aaron.yes he has put us in front 2 times now but still has alot to improve.if he can have good run like this then he can be great rigt now its just 2 games.

beside i was not happy at all wth the way we played in milan.we rarely went for the ball and every thing that we did that night was half assed stuff.i dont why our players cant get it in to their heads that they need to go 110% on every thing just like they did earlier in the season but still at least the move wch lead to the goal was executed nicely.

Thats some weak shit you two are talking....If totti had played...hell yes it would have been different...so many ifs and or buts to this but the fact still remains in the 2 games he's played as a pure striker he's scored 2 goals.

Now weather or not im over reacting is beside the point...he saved us against a half ass performance against sporting and Milan...why did we play half assed you ask? Cause we are without Totti...if we havent noticed...the past 7 years we've relied on him and its quite refreshing to see that we beat a quality side and a young up and coming team without our top guy.

Vucinic as striker = 2 goals.Premature....yes....but im in the heat of the moment.

we play half assed not just whn totti is absent but whn even he is in sinoy, ive seen a lot of roma sides and believe me last nights performance(not the team) was a let off.

and on vucinic relax im noy saying he wasnt our hero of the moment.im not saying dont give the guy credit, give him. i loved him for what he did but there is still a long way for him to be among the ranks.and wth the determination he showed he can reach there.

some times we just play like out of this world, brilliant, resilance, creativity and all it just clicks but at most time we let our selfs down that what i cant understand why.

Then let me pose this question.Would you rather play a crappy style and win like Capello did with us a few years back...or constantly be let down near the end of the games and play exciting and stylish football?

I personally like both...I dont mind this win.We had to grind it out and get a tough victory...good teams do that.Im happy that Vucinic could give his haters ( media ,fans ,etc ) some humble pie just like Montella did with his 21 goals and how they said he was finished.

Its a long way to go for Vucinic I agree...but for now Vucigol is a hero.
