Good news for Roma fans, Totti wants to play until he's 38 although he has no intention of becoming a coach after that. His current deal runs out in 2011 so his plan is to extend it by another two or three years.

I just hope he can compete at a high level in his mid-late 30s. He deserves to be involved in a major role with club as a sign of appreciation for what he has brought to not only the club, but the fans. He's the symbol of Roma and will forever be known for that. Obviously, he was referring to De Rossi as the next symbol of Roma! Forza Francesco!

i'd love to go see a roma game.. maybe when im not that busy i'll check if i can watch one via streaming.. but i've never really seen much italy on the streaming lists.. plus barça plays 2/3 games a week.. so i really cant..

i watch italy during wc and ec's though

.. but yeah id love to see how he's doing

We've all seen this many. many times..But as far as Italy, Totti's will be #1

wahaha 'it might' is an understatement.. that's one of the best goals in the century.. even though ppl still debate on it nd rivaldos was suppost to be better nd what not.. anyway

totti's still amazing i'll hand you that

but for more amazing goals you should watch barça.. iniesta has a crazy way of scoring too you'll love it

I like to watch Real play...i like to see how Cannavaro is doing and when/if Cassano plays. He almost played today, he started to warm up, then back to bench!

Also, i watch Capello perform his magic. I do watch the Barca vs Real games.

And uhh...i'm sticking with Totti's goal...i'm very biased what can i say lol

oh no,

i was afraid this may happen. And by July, 07 he will definitely say farewell as his second child will be born and that may in fact influence his decision. Either way, it's his choice and we should respect it. I truly hope he remains, it will be a shame if he hangs up the boots at such an early age

Roma captain Francesco Totti has revealed that there is a chance that he won’t make an Azzurri return.

The No 10 has rejected all calls for a return to the Italy squad after the World Cup victory in Germany, insisting that he would not play for Italy until he had recovered his best form.

He later stated that would not happen until the metal plates in his ankle were removed next year, but these plans might have now changed.

“The supporters are asking when I will return to the Nazionale, but I first have to decide if I will return,” said Totti before the ceremony in Rome, when the world champions will be honoured by the President of the Italian Republic.

“There hasn’t been anything between me and Coach Roberto Donadoni. Things are clear and we will speak again at the end of the season. However, the Final in Berlin might have been my last match with Italy.”

The Roma star then commented on the Serie A championship, where he still believes that his side can fight for the title, despite the gap dividing the Giallorossi from leaders Inter.

“I am confident that we can win the Scudetto, seven points is not that much and I believe in our comeback.

“It’s important as the entire city hopes that we will make it. It would be useful to start a new cycle, but in order to do that we also need some important signings,” concluded Totti.
